Stamford Bridge's doors will be closed tonight, but millions of viewers around the world will be tuned into the top-four clash between Chelsea and Manchester City. No other team in the Premier League has beaten City as many times as Chelsea has (won 60 and lost 49 over their last 149 clashes and tonight will be their 150th meeting.
The Blues almost suffered a tough loss to Aston Villa last week, down 1-0 in the first half, but after a couple of goals by Pulisic (60') and Giroud (62'), Chelsea for its first top-flight victory on the road since doing it against Arsenal on December 29. Chelsea has been on a goal-scoring rampage with twelve over their last six matches. That is more than any other team in the Premier League including top-spot Liverpool (10) and City (11) respectively.
Pep Guardiola has been moving things around in his squad having started 19 different players in two matches. He was able to win twice at home and score an impressive eight goals, but, the Mancunians have lost two of their last three league matches on the road. To add even more difficulties to its roster, top goalscorer Sergio Aguero has to have surgery on his knee and will be out for the remainder of the season.
In their last meeting at Manchester, Frank Lampard's men lost 2-1, but the first half was electrifying for the Blues, who attacked ruthlessly and exposed several defensive woes in Manchester's midfield.
