Premier League Preview: Manchester United Poised To Take Third

The Red Devils are in an excellent spot to jump to third place in the league if they can beat West Ham Wednesday at 16:00 GMT.
Like it or not, Manchester United is the most electrifying team in professional soccer, currently. They, unfortunately, lost to the Blues in the FA Cup Semifinals on Sunday night, but they haven't lost a league game since January 22 and they continue to move their way up the Premier League standings. Wednesday night, United has the chance to jump to third place in the league if they can beat West Ham.
United was simply outperformed in the FA Cup with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad playing sleepy football. Solskjaer made some tactical tweaks, which backfired against Frank Lampard and the Blues. The Devils went down 2-0 after goals from Olivier Giroud and Mason Mount, and then the nail was hammered into the coffin after an own goal by Hary Maguire. United did find some consolation after a penalty goal from Bruno Fernandes, but it was too little too late.
Now, United can only hope for a top-four finish and a spot in the Champions League or the Europa League, but they must get past West Ham first.
Nemanja Matic, the Serbian midfielder had this to say, "We are disappointed of course because we lost. We wanted that final but Chelsea scored three goals, they used their chances and deserve to be in the final.
Our focus is on Wednesday against West Ham, so we have to win that game to be in the Champions League. From this moment we will focus on that and we spoke a bit in the changing room about that.
