Pros and Cons of the New Slots Magic MergerPublished May 30, 2014 by OCR Editor
After the merge with Jackpot Party, Slots Magic Casino offers high game quality but a less-than-tantalizing selection of rewards.
It's been 4 months since Jackpot Party and Slots Magic came together under the umbrella of Slots Magic Casino. Jackpot Party, originally operated by WMS - which is most famous for its expertise in slots for land based casinos, was bought by EGO in February 2014 to merge into Slots Magic. WMS' top notch slots games like Zeus, Palace of Riches, Bruce Lee, Ruby Slippers and Wizard of OZ are now complemented with some additions from EGO. Evidently, the emphasis is still on slots games, although there is a reasonable selection of casino classics on hand.
Secret is in the Games
Like we said, there is a reasonable selection of table games, however, Slots Magic is really a destination for slots enthusiasts. Whereas many slots developers develop slick animations, WMS puts a lot of work into the mathematics of the game, leading to variation with thrilling wins. As such, with WMS' expertise and the newly injected funds, Slots Magic is starting to take off with slot connoisseurs.
With the merge, progressive jackpots have been completely dropped. This is going against the industry trend, however the games they do carry tend to have better payouts than progressives, with players still winning highly lucrative sums of money. And Slots Magic's bold move seems to be gaining a following with some players.
Average Selection of "Extras"
Slots Magic has offered a slew of promotions and bonuses to welcome Jackpot Party players into their new home, as well as to attract new players to the casino. While there are all sorts of races and specials with cash prizes, standard bonus terms are average with 30x wagering requirements. It's not bad, but we were hoping for better wagering requirements on top of their bonuses to really sweeten the deal for new players.
Mobile in Store?
We were also slightly surprised to see that there is still no mobile casino available given the rate at which many players have switched over to playing on their phones and tablets. However, Slots Magic is young for a casino, and there is probably much more in the pipeline. Overall, even though it's early days, the result of the merge shows a lot of promise - with Jackpot Party's expertise in slot games, it's hard to go wrong.
