PSG Aims First Place Ahead of Toulouse Clash

Toulouse braces for PSG visit this Friday (7:45 p.m UK Time).

PSG lost precious points against Monaco and St. Etienne, which caused it to lose the first place in Ligue 1. They are trying to return to the top and could do exactly that by defeating Toulouse on the road on Friday evening. The visitors have a couple of injury concerns, but none of them are serious enough as to jeopardize their favorite status.

PSG Returns to Its Winning Ways

The French champions were on the verge of securing all three points against Arsenal, but in the end they had to settle for one. They lost to Monaco and got just one point against St. Etienne, but since then things improved a lot. The last two games were simply amazing and the reigning champions have scored a combined nine goals for keeping clean sheets on both occasions.

Against Toulouse, they will play the same aggressive football and hope that the visitors will crumble under pressure. They’ve got a spectacular head to head record, with 14 victories in the last 15 games and a single draw. Overall PSG has won the vast majority of games and will be aiming for another victory.

Toulouse Bolsters Its Defenses

The hosts are currently riding a short winning streak with two consecutive victories, each of them by the same score. They managed to score twice but conceded a goal on each occasion and they can consider themselves lucky to allow just one against PSG.

Toulouse needs to take additional precautions ahead of this fixture and the top priority is to bolster defenses. They’ve got five players unavailable and four of them are playing defensive roles, which doesn’t bode well for this type of match. Bet365 only offers odds of ½ on PSG to win on the road, but under these circumstances they are still valuable and fully justify a high-stakes bet.
