Quickspin Rolling Out Achievements Engine on Slots This MonthPublished April 13, 2017 by Mike P
Sakura Fortune is the first Quickspin slot to integrate the new Achievements Engine, which can be used to unlock in-game rewards.
Playtech software subsidiary Quickspin has chosen April 2017 as the time to reveal an innovative new feature that is designed to deepen the gameplay experiences of online casino players.
Quickspin has named the feature the Achievements Engine, from which players can receive special tokens for completing in-game slot events. For instance, this could entail a player receiving Quickspin Tokens in exchange for using wild symbols to form a winning payline, or else when scatter symbols are landed on the reels.
Achievements have been outlined over four levels to give players the chance to save them up for a reward. Eventually, with enough tokens, it will be possible to activate a slot game’s bonus feature. Free spins will be the most common reward to claim, but players will find that Quickspin slots can also offer the likes of bonus rounds and re-spins.
The Achievements Engine will also give players the power to track their in-game progress from a designated page that can be accessed from the current slot. This new feature can be termed as gamification, whereby video game elements are attached to deliver a more engaging experience for the player.
When announcing the Achievements Engine, Quickspin CEO Daniel Lindberg explained that gamification is currently a priority area for the software studio. Quickspin started out as an independent software company when it opened in 2011, but the studio now has the considerable resources of Playtech to depend upon, having been acquired in 2016.
Quickspin has revealed that its Sakura Fortune slot will be the first release to come with the Achievements Engine. In terms of theme, Sakura Fortune is a slot centred upon a beautiful heroine who is tasked with exploring a fascinating realm filled samurai warriors and beautiful scenery. By design, the slot is five reels by four rows and will have 40 paylines.
