Record-setting Jackpot Paid Out by Net Ent in SwedenPublished June 10, 2014 by OCR Editor
A Swedish resident playing on Betsson received the 8th significant jackpot from Net Entertainment this year alone.
The Second Largest Jackpot Ever in Sweden
Net Entertainment announced that the total represented the second largest jackpot won online in Sweden in history, and put the total rewards for jackpots from Net Entertainment at 21.8 million Euros.
Shoutout to Varmland
The silver anniversary never looked so good for a 50-year-old player on Betsson's game Hall of Gods, sweetening and probably moving up retirement plans for the jackpot winner hailing from Sweden's Varmland province.
Good for Net
Net Entertainment couldn't be more thrilled with the recent spate of large jackpots awarded. Net chief product officer Simon Hammon happily announced that "the jackpots just keep falling and it's an honour to announce that this latest one for Betsson is the second largest online Swedish jackpot."
Pooling Raises Jackpot Sizes
Hammon attributed the success to Net Entertainment's catalogue of pooled jackpots. Large rewards are no rarity at Net, where the Guinness World Record for the largest jackpot payout from an online slot game took place last year in January, at a whopping total of €17.9m on Net Entertainment's Mega Fortune game.
Pooled jackpots represent an innovative integration of multiple progressive jackpots across an increasingly diverse network of online games to increase the size of individual jackpots. The size of the networks from which jackpot pools can be derived range from as few as the amount of machines in one physical casino to the hundreds of thousands of online games offered by software developers such as Net Entertainment.
Where to Find More Pooled Jackpots
Jackpots increase proportionately to the amount of times (i.e, popularity) of a given game, and to the amount of casinos pooled into the jackpot network.
Other New Entertainment games currently offering pooled jackpots include Mega Fortune and Arabian Nights.
