Red Tiger Gaming to Unleash Thor’s Lightning Slot

Thor’s Lightning is a new slot that comes with two types of free spins and is playable at Red Tiger Gaming casinos from mid-February 2019.
From mid-February 2019, Red Tiger Gaming casinos are going to have a brand new slot that is based on the Norse hero Thor, who was featured heavily in popular media in recent years. On this occasion, the devastating warrior shall appear in the Thor’s Lightning slot developed by Red Tiger Gaming.
Breakable Symbols
Ahead of the slot’s release, Red Tiger revealed that Thor’s Lightning would feature a uniquely designed interface that is comprised of seven reels by seen rows. Ultimately, this aesthetic choice was taken in order to implement a block-breaking feature that allows for reels to cascade and rack up winnings.
From a functional standpoint, the slot is designed to challenge players to group symbols together into clusters. If five or more symbols can be clustered together, then this will provide a multiplier. However, this will also cause the symbols to break and disappear, then being replaced by all new symbols and the potential for combo building.
Thor’s Special Features
The centre of the game is home to a concealed grid of nine by nine symbols, which bear the seal of “FREE SPINS”. In time, this can be cleared away by creating clusters that break up the grey stones. When the entire area has been revealed, this will trigger free spins.
There are two forms available, with Muspell Spins providing the player with free spins, falling lava, and the chance to gain more wild symbols. Alternatively, Valhalla Spins can add free spins along with the benefit of falling golden shields that can reveal multipliers to boost winnings.
Thor’s Lightning also includes a special feature that will see blue flashes of lightning randomly crash down on the screen to exchange low-paying symbols for wilds. Thor can also choose to randomly throw his hammer in order to clear away symbols or move reels and rows to trigger wins.
