SBC Awards 2020 Sets Records, with LeoVegas and bet365 Still Dominant

A record-setting amount of companies took home hardware at the recently concluded SBC Awards 2020.
With a record-setting amount of awards handed out this year, bet365 and LeoVegas pulled the lion's share of the recognition at SBC Awards 2020.
The Event
A record 41 companies were honoured this year with specific awards in a football-themed virtual ceremony broadcast December 9, 2020 live from Chelsea FC’s Stamford Bridge.
Presenters
Presenting Emcee Kirsty Gallacher was accompanied as host by Champions League winner Petr Cech and a guest appearance from footballer turned actor and EasyOdds.com Columnist Vinnie Jones.
Audience
An audience of over 800 international viewers saw bet365 take home the trophy for Sportsbook of the Year trophy for a staggering seventh consecutive year.

This penultimate recognition with the one of the industry's most prized awards supplemented by bet365's earlier defense of its title as Best Affiliate Program.
LeoVegas Reign Lives on
LeoVegas won the equally prestigious Casino of the Year award, fighting off primary challenger and rising star Wildz Casino for LeoVegas' third successive win.
Other Key Trophies
Leader of the Year trophies went to Parimatch’s Sergey Portnov and BetGames.TV’s Aiste Garneviciene. Parimatch also picked up Employer of the Year (Operator) and BetGames.TV took the trophy for top Live Casino Supplier.
Others taking home multiple trophies were Betsson (Football Sportsbook of the Year and Socially Responsible Casino of the Year); Betradar (Sportsbook Supplier of the Year and Live Streaming Product/Supplier); and Betgenius (Sports Data Product and Live Betting Product).
SBC MD Speaks
SBC Managing Director Andrew McCarron was ebullient:
“Huge congratulations to all the winners chosen by our independent panels of expert judges. We had a record number of entries this year and the standard was the highest we’ve seen since launching the awards back in 2014, meaning the victors had to be truly exceptional to see off the competition.”
McCarron further expressed his certainty that the ceremony puts the industry in particularly strong position heading into 2021.
Outlook
With the full list of winners available at the SBC website, the diversity of the awards handed out proved their resilience of the industry in a virtual adapted format to maintain momentum heading into what should be a robust 2021.
