Sky Bet to Sponsor Football League

Online sportsbook to become major sponsor of English football.

The Football League, comprising the Championship, League One and League Two, has agreed to a new multi-year deal for online sportsbook Sky Bet to become their official title sponsor.

Under the agreement, the Football League will be titled the Sky Bet Football League, while its three divisions - which constitute the second, third and fourth tiers of English football - will become the Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet League One and Sky Bet League Two.

In a separate agreement also announced in the past couple of days, the Football League and Sky Sports have signed a brand new three-year broadcasting rights deal. The deal will begin in 2015/16 following the end of the current agreement, and will deliver more live matches for fans around the UK.
