Veronica Castillo had a huge shock while playing a slot machine in a casino in Washington when the screen showed her that she won a jackpot worth over $8 million. However, the happy moment only lasted for a few minutes since she was denied the amount due to a malfunction at the machine. Instead, the loan officer from Oregon only received $80 back of the $100 she initially put in the game.
To Multi-Millionaire and Back in 5 Minutes
The event took place in early-November at the Lucky Eagle Casino, located in Rochester, Washington, and as the machine started making all of the noises associated with a large jackpot, the casino staff came over to check things out and informed the winner that it was actually an error.
As a result, the machine was shut down and taken away, while Ms. Castillo only received a ticket worth $80 after seeing a life-changing sum of $8 million flashing on the screen.
The casino released a long statement explaining what happened and the game developer is now looking to start an investigation in order to get more details on the error.
Switch to Online Slots
Land-based casinos are known for their outdated machines which can cause such glitches. The best alternative in this case would be to switch to the online version for top casino games. Not only are they more convenient, but online casino titles are more reliable due to regular updates and RNGs which are constantly being verified by specialized companies.
Online casinos like bet365 Casino, Tivoli Casino and Jackpot City Casino have established themselves as perfect spots for playing a variety of games. They can be easily accessed from regulated markets and have great platforms. Furthermore, each of these brands features slot machines which can actually offer jackpots worth millions of dollars, not just as a result of a malfunction.
