Sunday Night Football: Analysis, Odds and Prediction

The Giants head to Texas to take on the Cowboys tonight and they will need to try something different from what they did in Philadelphia last week. Tony Romo and the rest of the Cowboys are fired up, having an excellent season so far at 5-1. New York is trying to turn around from a 3-3 start to the season, and Eli Manning has statistically been good against Dallas. 

Bigger in Texas

Dallas walked into the home of the defending Super Bowl Champions last week and controlled the Seahawks 30-23. The game was even until the fourth quarter when Dallas scored 10-3 to take the win. Dallas are a real threat in the NFC this season and are on a four game winning streak. Tony Romo is on his game with 11 touchdowns and over 1,550 yards through the air and a QB rating of 100.5. The Giants will have a lot on their plates tonight, if they are to have any chance at beating the red-hot Cowboys.

Going into week 7, the Giants are .500, and have had quite a hard time coming together as the solid unit their fans remember from just a few seasons ago. Eli Manning has thrown the same amount of TD's as Romo, but only has 1,325 yards, well enough for a rating of 93.3. New York is ranked 24th in the NFL for offense and 22nd on defense, which are not the numbers one likes to see in order to beat the Cowboys. The key for the Giants is to run with Andre Williams and Rashad Jennings, while stopping the Cowboys strong offense.

Dallas has this one in the bag; the only question is by how much. The Giants will score a couple but my guess is Dallas 27 - New York 17.
