Super Bowl LIV is about the kick-off, as the San Fransisco 49ers try to overcome the odds and defeat the Kansas City Chiefs. The Championship game will be played in Miami. It is incredible to think that just last season the 49ers ended with a 4-12 record. The Chiefs were defeated in overtime last season by the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game.
This is a Game of Redemption for Both Teams
This will be a QB battle like never before. Two young guns going head-to-head in their respective first Super Bowl matchup. Patrick Mahomes, last year's MVP will take on Jimmy Garoppolo, the latter's first season as the starting quarterback for the 49ers. Garoppolo only threw a total of eight passes in the NFC Championship game but it was good enough to get to the big show.
A lot will reside on Mahomes' ability to continue controlling the offense. In his first two full seasons in the NFL, Mahomes has a 27-8 record, with 11,000 total yards and an amazing 93 touchdowns.
On the other side, Garopollo is 21-5 and has won 23 of his 28 starts since beginning his debut season in 2017.
A New Dynasty in Kansas?
Mahomes is just 24 years old and is far from his prime. Other offensive weapons, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and Tyrann Mathieu are all just entering their prime and a win in the Super Bowl would help take the Chiefs to dynasty level.
Super Bowl Betting Odds
The Chiefs are favorites tonight with odds favoring them to win outright at 1.76, while the 49ers at 2.10. Mahomes is having an incredible year and to cap things off with a Super Bowl win would be fitting for this young former MVP. 10Bet Sports is offering live in-play odds throughout the Super Bowl and if you want to wager interactively this may be the right choice for you.
Prediction
This will be a tight game but in the end the Chiefs seem like the right choice. Take them at 27-20.
