The Sports Betting Hall of Fame Rambles on with SBC Summit Barcelona Digital

This year's digital SBC will offer unique individual looks at its Hall of Fame inductees.
Among other things, SBC Summit Barcelona Digital will welcome five new members to the Sports Betting Hall of Fame next week.
The Event
Taking place online from 8 - 11 September 2020, SBC is moving forward with its renowned Hall of Fame ceremony in a unique virtual format this year. To recognize the five newest members in recognition of their influence on industry history:
The New Inductees
The five latest members to be inducted include former William Hill CEO Ralph Topping;
BetVictor Founder Victor Chandler; Asian market and online betting pioneer Bill Mummery; StanleyBet CEO Giovanni Garrisi; and Coljuegos President Juan B. Pérez Hidalgo.
Event Format
The unique virtual format will be viewed by thousands, and optimised with adapted content including introspective interviews with the latest inductees, who share insights into success; thoughts on the current state of the sports betting industry; and the qualities that made them effective as professionals.
Inductees Speak
Mr. Topping indicates the privilege he had of growing up in the industry and meeting so many of his predecessors to the hall, which has left him “very humbly accepting the kind offer to join them, calling the Sports Betting Hall of Fame very “good for the sector” in general.
Mr. Chandler's Roots
Mr. Chandler has expressed his thankful delight at the inclusion alongside so many other “illustrious” members:
“As a fourth generation bookmaker, it is an industry that is in my blood and has given me so many adventures.”
Manx Warms to Recognition
Celton Manx Executive Director and fellow 2020 inductee expressed his delight at the “high” point of his long career:
“Thank you very much for the recognition.”
SBC's McCarron's Perspective
SBC Managing Director Andrew McCarron is brimming with anticipation for the updated SBC Barcelona Summit:
“Once again we have a fantastic line-up for the Sports Betting Hall of Fame!”
McCarron does wax wistful in remembering last year' emotional in-person induction event at London's Natural History Museum, but is ultimately grateful today's technology can provide an optimized adapted version this year.
