The Arizona Cardinals travel to St. Louis tonight to take on the struggling Rams in an NFC West showdown to begin Week 15. The Cardinals are 10-3 and leading the division, while the Rams are down but not out at 6-7 but coming off of a huge victory against the Redskins last week 24-0.
This will be the second meeting between these two teams this season, Arizona won that game 31-10 but it is now a completely different story. The Rams defense is currently looking like the best in the entire league shutting out their opponents 76-0 in the last two games. The Rams' defense has been so good in their last three wins they have outscored opponents by a total of 98-7, and lest we forget that one of those wins included whooping the Denver Broncos 22-7. St. Louis' defense was so good last week that they held Redskins QB, McCoy, to a 54.0 rating.
The Rams were beating the Cardinals 14-10 going into the fourth quarter but three turnovers by the Rams' offense gave Arizona the advantage to steal the win. Austin Davis has been getting better at the QB position so those past turnovers shouldn't come back this time around.
The Cardinals have won, one game out of their last three and are not looking like they are the same team without Carson Palmer calling the shots. The Seahawks are nipping at their heels for first place in the division and it is tough to say if they will hold on after tonight.
