Today: GiGse Gathering Gaming Industry Leaders in San Diego

GiGse 2017, taking place in San Diego, will try to tackle numerous issues that the gambling industry has been facing as of late.

All the prominent names from the North American gaming industry will be converging in San Diego in the next couple of days for the 2017 edition of GiGse that has kicked off today (April 26). The three-day conference will offer insights and provide valuable information about the current state of the industry, and participants will seek to challenge and tackle many disruptive influences that they've had to deal with lately.

Dealing with Changes

As Ewa Bakun of Clarion Gaming emphasized ahead of this year's GiGse, many industries are facing issues stemming from the fact that accepted way of doing things are being challenged. The gambling industry is no exception here.

Thus, industry thought leaders have come together in San Diego to explore new possibilities created by innovative technologies, but also to discuss numerous legal obstacles the gaming sector has to deal with on a daily basis.

According to Joe Pappano, Managing Director of Vantiv Entertainment, the event's headline sponsor, GiGse has always been primarily about education. This year will be no different as, through speeches, debates, and presentations, GiGse 2017 will look to educate guests and participants alike, and the entire agenda has been tailored with this goal in mind.

GiGse Launchpad Competition & iGNA Awards

Apart from all this, two highlight events taking place over the next few days in San Diego will be the announcement of the GiGse Launchpad Competition results and iGNA Awards winners.

For the Launchpad Competition, finalists include David McKenzie with his No Halftime simplified fantasy sports idea, Ronald Silleti presenting his Trade Duel, fantasy stock trading platform, Bruce Merati and his Uplay1, new gaming broadcasting platform with interactive features, and a few others.

When it comes to iGNA Awards, the shortlist includes a number of familiar names like 888, IGT, BetConstruct, Golden Nugget, NYX, SugarHouse Online Casino, etc. The winners will be announced in the following categories:

  • Operator of the Year
  • Best Marketing Campaign
  • Best Platform Supplier
  • Best Payment System
  • Best Innovation in North American iGaming
  • Best Social Gaming Operator

All in all, GiGse 2017 will offer a lot of exciting developments, and it could result in a number of great solutions for the gaming industry moving forward.
