Tropicana has become the fifth operator to be granted an online casino in New Jersey.
Atlantic City is breaking into the online gambling industry as they have been awarded the prestigious fifth permit to operate a New Jersey online gambling site. New Jersey gambling officials granted Tropicana with their permit last Monday and they will soon be offering a long list of online casino games to players in NJ.
Tropicana and Gamesys Limited entered into a partnership and will be providing players from the Garden State with the chance to gamble from the comfort of their own homes just as players from the rest of the world have been able to do so for some time now. Gamesys operates JackpotJoy Casino and with this new partnership they will now be able to operate in the US.
New Jersey is the 3rd state to pass the law which allows online gaming within their borders. Both Delaware and Nevada are able to offer online gambling but in Nevada it is currently restricted to online Poker games.
The topic of US online gambling has been first page news since the law came up and the huge US market is more than ready to go digital. Atlantic City brick and mortar gambling has been slow going since it peaked in 2006 and with new online gambling sites soon to be available, hopes are that new, young, more tech-savvy players will get on-board.
"Both Tropicana and Gamesys are looking forward to introducing our customers to a new level of gaming through its online offerings, which will both entertain and raise the bar in gaming experience," related Tropicana CEO and president Tony Rodio.
