Ultimate Gaming: NJ Online Casino By End 2013

Ultimate Gaming intends to launch its New Jersey online casino by the end of 2013, the company's co-founder Tom Breitling said during an interview last Wednesday with Bloomberg Television's Street Smart program.

"We are working really hard with our partner, the Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City, to be ready for a launch this year," Breitling said in response to a question about when Ultimate Gaming's NJ site will be and running. "And while Nevada is poker only, New Jersey will be a full suite of casino games.

According to Breitling, half of the company's engineering team is working on a series of checks to demonstrate to New Jersey regulators what it has already proved in Nevada - that it is committed to player protection, has the necessary procedures in place to ensure all players are over 21 and based in the state when they access the site.

11 Million Hands in Nevada

Ultimate Gaming's Ultimate Poker, the first legal online gambling site in the US, recently delivered its 11 millionth hand. According to Breitling, the site - which is accessible only within Nevada state boundaries - now boasts 30,000 members.

Breitling told Bloomberg that no other competitors have been approved "because it's hard". He explained that Ultimate Gaming provided over 700,000 pages of reports to Nevada regulators before it received its license, and would do the same in NJ.

Which State Is Next?

The question on everybody's list is which state is next for Ultimate Gaming and American egaming. Breitling couldn't predict which would be next, but said that "all 50 states are seriously thinking how they want to address this issue."
