Unibet Appoints eCOGRA to Conduct Audits

Unibet, the provider of online casino, poker and other gambling products, announced this week that it has appointed eCOGRA to conduct audits on whether it is compliant with laws and  regulations.

Unibet invited independent testing agencies to bid for the position earlier this year. eCOGRA came out on top after showing that it was the most proficient at providing compliance and auditing services in a number of different regulatory environments in which Unibet currently operates.

eCOGA chief Andrew Beveridge welcomed the challenge of keeping Unibet compliant at all times. He called the operator an industry leader in promoting responsible gambling and player protection, saying that it demonstrates the highest levels of regulatory compliance.

Changing regulatory environment

Like other online gambling operators, the complexity of the digital entertainment era makes is more difficult to keep up with the different national regulatory requirement that exist in various European countries. Therefore, there is greater operator demand for independent auditing of the type offered by eCOGRA.

eCOGRA is generally considered one of the top online gambling auditors, bringing with it a mix of IT, auditing and industry experience that have been tested throughout Europe.
