Live Betting on US Open: Djokovic vs Kohlschreiber

Can Philipp Kohlschreiber overcome Novak Djokovic at Louis Armstrong Stadium today? Find out today at 17:30 UK time.

The fourth round of the US Open gets underway today and one of the major matches from Louis Armstrong stadium is between the tournament favorite, Novak Djokovic, and Philipp Kohlschreiber. This is the last match before the Quarter Finals so both players will be at their best.  The uphill battle ahead of Kohlschreiber is clear, as he faces last year's runner-up, but he has beaten Djokovic once before.

The Road to Round Four

Philipp Kohlschreiber has had an excellent US Open so far.  Reaching the fourth round has proven to be a challenge for the 30-year-old German player, having reached his only one at Wimbledon in 2012.  Currently ranked at 22, Kohlschreiber has reached the fourth round in all of his last three seasons and has looked to be in great shape thus far.

In the previous match, Kohlschreiber beat John Isner convincingly with 13 aces, 55 winners and winning 72 percent of his net points. Today will be a different story, and if Kohlschreiber is to have any chance of winning, he will need to play the best tennis of his career.

Novak Djokovic is in the best form of his life.  Currently ranked number one by the ATP, the 27-year-old Serbian has not dropped even one set at the US Open.  He has only needed to play 72 games prior to tonight and he only lost a mere seven in his previous match.  In his round three match against Sam Querrey, Djokovic won 75 percent of his first serve points, while hitting 25 winners. While he is the outright favorite today, Djokovic will need to keep a watchful eye on Kohlschreiber, but it shouldn't be an issue for him.
