US Open Odds: Top Sportsbooks Competitive Odds

Sol FH. - August 29, 2016

The stars of the ATP come to the biggest Tennis event in the US Open and the action starts today at 16:00 GMT.

The US Open gets underway today and competition should be fierce, as all the stars on both men's and women's sides are eager to win this event and hoist its coveted trophy. Last year it was Novak Djokovic that won top honors, but both players have been inconsistent this season and the tournament looks open for an upset. Andy Murray is in excellent form and will be seeking his fourth Grand Slam of the year to go along with his second Olympic gold medal, but has a lot of talent to face until he gets there.

Heavy Hitters

There is really one big story here right now and that is Djokovic and Murray. They are scheduled to meet (if they make it) in the final and if they do, it would be a repeat of the 2014 final where Murray won. Djokovic has not had the type of season he imagined with some very tough losses in key tournaments. Djokovic is still in first place in the ATP rankings at 14,840 even though he has dropped 2,000 this season. Murray is behind with 9,305. The winner of the US Open will get 2,000 points so there is even more than cash that is on the line for the tournament.

The underdogs that could make a run at the Finals this year are Milos Raonic, Kei Nishikori, Rafael Nadal and Juan Martin Del Potro. Out of these players, punters could make a good bet on Milos Raonic to win outright resulting in a hefty payday.

Competitive Odds

There are four online sportsbooks that we will compare outright odds including bet365 Sports, 10bet, 888 Sport and Winner Sports. Outright odds are usually the biggest payday and we will look at the difference between these four brands. For the favorite, Djokovic, bet365, 10bet and Winner Sports are offering odds at 2.20 if he wins. At 888 Sports punters will receive 2.10 on the same market. Andy Murray is at 2.87 at bet365 and Winner, while at 2.75 at 10bet and 888. The odds get much more competitive for Milos Raonic beginning with bet365 Sports and Winner at 15.00. 888 offers 12.00, while 10bet has the most attractive odds for the Canadian at 17.00.

It is ultimately up to you, but take a look at the diverse odds at each of these bookmakers and decide after you have all the information.
