Disney buy out the legendary Star Wars franchise.
Following a mere $4 billion acquisition last week, Star Wars has been swooped up by the Disney dynasty. Star Wars creator George Lucas sold Lucasfilm and his colossal film franchise to the Disney powerhouse, having decided to exit mainstream cinema in favor of more experimental films.
Soon after, Disney announced their intention to release Star Wars: Episode VII no later than 2015; following suite with another film in the series every two or so years after. For better or for worse, that's Luke Skywalker's career secured for, well, eternity. Now it just remains to be seen which director takes up the reins of this legendary sci-fi saga.
With sci-fi in the air, rumors are still flying about the Battlestar Galactica video slot game to be released by Microgaming. They reached an agreement with the Emmy award-winning television series end in October, and it is expected the game will be released in time for Christmas.
Then only last week we released the sneak preview of Oryx Gaming's Space Traveler video slot game on our site. Oryx is new software provider currently powering Stack99 Casino.
It's no wonder gamers are getting starry eyed.
