Holland Casino has in past years suggested operating a similar monopoly on the Internet, identifying the value of online gambling and joining the global trend. The Dutch government has remained opposed to the idea and so Dutch citizens' only opportunity to play casino games - American roulette, blackjack, Punto Banco, poker and slots, to name a few favorites - remains at Holland Casino.
