Reds knocked Man City out of the Carling Cup, and now face Man Utd in the FA Cup
With Liverpool and Cardiff now confirmed for the Carling Cup final, all attention turns to the FA Cup, where Liverpool vs Manchester United headlines a bumper weekend of fourth round action coming up this Saturday.
Liverpool vs the Manchesters
Liverpool knocked of Premiership leaders Manchester City in the semi-finals of the Carling Cup Wednesday night, holding on for a 2-2 draw at home after winning 2-1 at Etihad Stadium. The Reds will head into the February 26 final against Championship side Cardiff as red-hot favourites.
But this weekend is even more important, as Liverpool face Manchester United in the FA Cup fourth round. United knocked City out of the FA Cup, but will have to beat another top side in Liverpool if they are to progress. In other big fixtures to take place over the weekend, Everton will host Fulham, QPR will play host to Chelsea in a London derby, and Aston Villa will travel to Arsenal.
