William Hill CEO Extends Contract to 2015

William Hill has continued its run of big recent announcements, informing the public that Chief Executive Officer Ralph Topping will stay on in his role until at least the end of 2015.

Chairman Gareth Davis said the board was "delighted" that Topping would be staying with the online gambling giant for another two years, and said the company would look internally for an eventual successor while "developing a cadre of talented senior management."

It has been a massive couple of months for William Hill, with the firm recently becoming the first firm in the online industry to join the FTSE100 of the largest firms on the London Stock Exchange since PartyGaming's exist a couple of years ago.

Hill recently made to big acquisitions, buying out Playtech's share in their William Hill Online joint venture, and purchasing the Australian operations of leading rival gambling firm Sportingbet.
