British betting giant continues its strong push into mobile gaming market.
William Hill, Britain's largest betting and gaming company, has continued its foray into the world of mobile gambling by launching its new Android app.
The new application, which introduces new features and enhanced graphics, will give owners of Android mobile devices access to the more than 40,000 pre-match, in-play and specialty markets offered daily by William Hill Online sports book.
Free DownloadWilliam Hill's new Android application is free to download at William Hill Mobile and from other download sites, and is available to anybody running Android 2.2.
The new app, which is quicker than old version, follows the success of the Racing Post/William Hill iPhone app, which has already been downloaded by more than 200,000 people.
The Future Is NowMichael Byrne, Head of Mobile at William Hill Online, said that the launch was recognition of the many customers who have embraced Android.
"This new app opens up our mobile sportsbook to a growing customer base and gives them an experience as good as any," he said.
Byrne added that Hill had experienced an 800% increase in bets in 2010, 828% increase in turnover, and a 900% rise in unique users, on the back of strong mobile growth and product enhancements.
