Two of the heavyweight of Britain's gambling industry - bookmaker William Hill and racing and betting published the Racing Post - have teamed up to launch a new football betting app for smartphones.
New app 'users will love'Just in time for the new English Premier League season, which kicked off one the weekend, the new Football Bet application provides its users with information and easy betting opportunities, in addition to easily digestible statistics and expert opinion.
Racing Post head of online Mark Renshar called football betting "a massive opportunity" for the publisher, and added: "we just had to create another app that users will love."
The app is available free for download from Apple's iPhone store.
Hill renews fantasy footballIn more good news for William Hill's football-mad customers, the online gambling giant has also renewed its Dream Team fantasy football commercial partnership deal with News International's The Sun newspaper.
William Hill and News International launched a new integrated digital betting product that will allow customers to wager on top performing players in specific categories, such as highest scoring strikers and midfielders.
More than one million players now enjoy the Sun's Dream Team fantasy football suite, meaning it has more users than ever before.
