Wimbledon Match Betting: Mannarino vs Djokovic
Published July 11, 2017 by Sol FH
The final match of the round of 16 gets underway today at 12:00 GMT after a rescheduling.
Yesterday, we were treated to one of the biggest and best matches in recent tennis history. The match was played between Rafael Nadal and Gilles Muller and it lasted a bit under 5-hours. Muller won the first two sets and it looked like he would upset the World No. 2, but Nadal made one of the biggest comebacks in Wimbledon history, but unfortunately after losing the tie-break 15-13, Muller will be playing in the quarterfinal against Cilic tomorrow at 11:30 GMT.
That marathon of a match, meant that the match between Djokovic and Mannarino was postponed for today and will be played out on Center Court in front of a sold-out stadium.
Djokovic and Mannarino have met once before and it was on the same stage last year. It was in the Round of 64, last year that Djokovic beat Mannarino for the first and only time, but he had a lot of trouble in the first and third sets, after some excellent play by Mannarino. The Serb, Djokovic, is looking quite good at Wimbledon, but he has been quite inconsistent throughout the course of the year. After Murray took the No. 1 ranking from him in 2016, he hasn't been playing the same tennis and has had problems winning key matches, just like this one today.
