Yahtzee Comes to Online Wagering

Williams Interactive iGaming is expanding its Game Server Library with the launch of an online slot based on Hasbro board game Yahtzee.

First Release Under New Agreement

This will be the first game released by the subsidiary of American gaming and lottery provider Scientific Games Corporation under an expanded licensing agreement signed between Hasbro and Scientific in January of this year.

Subsidiary Advantages

The deal calls for an extension of the relationship from 2017 to 2020 with an additional three-year option. The unique arrangement enables Scientific and all subsidiaries to distribute Hasbro games across real-money and social casino channels, meaning that any number of slots and casino games will be modeled after Hasbro branded games, themes and images.

Scientific and Williams have pre-existing portfolio licensing agreements with Hasbro, since 2003 and 1997 respectively.

The New Slot

The newest Yahtzee slot is an optimized version of an originally land-based slot machine game. The online version offers enhanced play styles and customized preferences.

A unique bonus feature is the Yahtzee Party Bonus, wherein a special mechanic enables players to save bonus triggers for use at the moment of their choice, positioning even lower stakes players to win larger amounts, provided the timing of their triggers is right.

Optimism from Williams Interactive

Williams Interactive Director of Casino Products Tom Wood expressed his excitement at having Yahtzee as the first Hasbro game online game to be rolled out under the new agreement:

“With multiple exciting bonuses and a unique ‘store your bonus’ mechanic, we expect the Yahtzee game to appeal to a wide range of players with multiple motivations and game preferences.”

Current Status

As of this writing, Yahtzee has been integrated into Williams Interactive's Remote Game Server, and is currently available to all Williams Interactive’s European customers.
