Yggdrasil Casinos Gain Two New Immersive Blackjack Games

January 2019 marks the release of two new blackjack games to Yggdrasil casinos. The upgraded Sonya Blackjack now comes with side bets and is joined Lucky Blackjack.
Yggdrasil Gaming is a software studio widely known for developing video slots. Recently, however, Yggdrasil has shifted focus towards the area of casino tables, with the company releasing two brand new immersive blackjack games as of January 2019.
Sonya Blackjack had already been released to Yggdrasil casinos, but has now received an upgrade that lets players place side bets in addition to the main action. The character of Sonya shall still be on hand to host the blackjack game in a virtual casino environment, while a second new character is set to appear in the Irish-themed Lucky Blackjack.
Blackjack Side Bets Included
In keeping with the upgraded Sonya Blackjack, this new game will also give players the ability to place side bets. Lucky Lucky™ blackjack is the first of the side bets and is based around combining the players’ first two cards and the dealer’s up-card. This can successfully result in 19s, 20s, 21s, and other combinations going up to a suited 777 being rewarded.
Lucky Ladies™ blackjack is the second of the side bets. This time, the challenge is for players to make a side bet and achieve a 20-point score using their first two cards. Higher payouts can be provided for pairing two queens of hearts, with the dealer having blackjack triggering the maximum reward.
Other Key Features
Yggdrasil has used its own REDUX™ technology in order to perform motion-capture for the purpose of designing the virtual blackjack dealers. The dealers are then able to inhabit a virtual environment that can be populated by up to three players at the table.
In making the release of Sonya Blackjack and Lucky Blackjack, Yggdrasil has also sought to speed up the gaming experience by integrating both swifter animations and the pre-decision feature. Both new blackjack games can be experienced from January 2019 onwards at Yggdrasil casinos.
