Yggdrasil Partners with Unibet for Belgium and Estonia Expansion

From August 2014 onwards, online gambling operator Unibet will be hosting games from Yggdrasil Gaming at its sites in Belgium and Estonia. Yggdrasil Gaming eagerly made the announcement, buoyed by the opportunity to work with one of the fastest growing operators in Europe. Although the announcement was only made in mid-August, Unibet had already completed the integration of Yggdrasil’s online gaming portfolio a month prior in July.

Future European Expansion Plans

Yggdrasil Gaming chief executive Fredrik Elmqvist stated that this is the developer’s “first foray” into Belgium and Estonia. When commenting on the future plans of Yggdrasil, he was keen to explain that the developer had their eyes on expansion into further European markets. Should the partnership with Unibet work out for the best, Yggdrasil will have no shortage of opportunities.

2014: A Busy Year for Yggdrasil Gaming

Throughout 2014, chief executive Fredrik Elmqvist has been busy forming agreements with various leading operators from the online gambling industry. Among the familiar names are Cherry Gaming, CO-Gaming, Leo Vegas, Mr Green, Vera & John, and LeoVegas. In addition, the developer now holds offices across Europe, including Malta, Poland, and the relatively new base of Gibraltar.

The Appeal of Yggdrasil

Yggdrasil has proven to be an appealing new partner for a number of top European gambling operators. Of course, the draw of working with Yggdrasil stems from the online gaming portfolio of the developer. Unibet, Mr Green, and the others will have been able to add video slots, lottery games, keno, scratch games, scratch cards, and progressive jackpots. The developer is especially renowned for its Winterberries and Jokerizer video slots.

Mobile Games

Another appealing factor is that Yggdrasil has already launched a number of its top slot games and scratch games on mobile. Robotnik iSense, Piggy Bank, King for a Day, and Fruitoids are just four of the mobile games.
