The announcement by premier gaming supplier Yggdrasil Gaming of entry into the Italian market has been bolstered by a new partnership inked with GVC Holdings.
Terms of Agreement
The deal calls for GVC Holdings’ Italian-facing gaming brands to integrate Yggdrasil video slots directly into GVC’s bwin.it and Gioco Digitale sites.
Impact
With popular casino games from Yggdrasil’s such as Bicicleta, Vikings Go Wild and Seasons already popular among Italian layers, the new agreement will bring Yggdrasil’s full portfolio of award-winning HTML5 games to Italy for the very first time.
Implementation
The first round of integration will bring 11 games into the Italian market. Scheduled to go live early in Q2 of this year, popular Yggdrasil titles such as Dark Joker Rizes, Vikings Go Wild, and Nirvana will be released under the bwin.it brand in Italy.
The Technology
GVC’s Italian site also gains full access to the supplier’s entire arsenal of BOOST in-game promotional tools, including the recently-launched Missions feature along with social sharing tool BRAG.
Yggdrasil CEO Reflects
Yggdrasil CEO Fredrik Elmqvist expressed his organization’s thrill “to have joined forces with an operator as big and as respected as GVC to enter the Italian market.”
GVC Leader Statement
GVC Chief Product Officer Liron Snir further asserted the deal’s alignment with an organizational mission “to offer our players the widest possible range of quality games,” launching the BRAG feature as a “real draw” for GVC.
Yggdrasil Brand Expansion
The year is already turning into a major brand expansion for Yggdrasil, with this move coming fresh off being recently named Innovator of the Year at the 2017 International Gaming Awards, adding to a collection of trophies that already included 2016 Slot Provider of the Year at the 2016 EGR B2B Awards; Gaming Software Supplier of the Year at the 2016 International Gaming Awards; and Software Rising Star at the 2015 EGR B2B Awards.
Outlook
Yggdrasil is a great example of how superior content and technology can be effectively shared through creative agreements uniting the efforts of all operators in regulated markets.
