According to Tolkien, WB were only ever granted the rights to exploit the Lord of the Rings brand by releasing "tangible products" to the market. The lawsuit comes just a week before the New Zealand premier of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the first in a new Hobbit Trilogy, also based on the fiction of Tolkein. Phil Ivey, one of the world's most well-known and celebrated poker professionals, opened up about online poker to ESPN recently, talking about everything from Full Tilt to his own website. On IveyPoker.com "People aren't learning how to play," Ivey said of other social poker sites, so he decided to set up his own platform. Ivey explained that his website will include video instruction with the man himself and other members of his team. He summarized: "People will learn how to play and live." Larry Hagman - whose iconic role as the faithless, evil, and corrupt "JR Ewing" in the nighttime soap Dallas led to stardom and sky-high ratings for the show - has died after complications from his battle with cancer. Hagman first came to prominence as the star of the 60s' NBC comedy I Dream of Jeannie - playing astronaut Dr. Tony Nelson opposite Barbara Eden's attractive genie. But it was as the villainous Texas oil baron JR Ewing in CBS' Dallas series that he achieved full stardom. The show's most famous episode, "Who Shot JR", was a cliffhanger that broke viewing records, inspired endless speculation, and was so talked-about that bookmakers placed odds on the outcome of the show. While the debate continues in Europe about how far online gambling reforms must go, some French politicians have taken to showing their support for gambling by actually playing online poker in the legislature.
