The driving force behind the upgrade was a desire to give Mr Green a visual makeover with a view to enhancing the player experience. The new site is a far cry from the rest of the online gambling industry. Mr Green features a crisp layout that depicts the stylish Mr Green strolling around in an ornate structure with popular video slot machines situated throughout, with two of the most recognisable being Starburst and Thunderstruck 2. Quick links to slots, roulette, blackjack, and progressive jackpots are listed just above, making it simple to find Mr Green’s most popular online casino games. Players can also scroll farther down the page to see a handpicked collection of slots that are currently found at Mr Green. From an industry standpoint, this latest innovation from Mr Green will be fascinating to monitor. The actions of Mr Green could inspire other leading casino sites to make a similar change. Online casinos have long designed homepages packed with information, but Mr Green could trigger a more understated trend moving forward.

Indigenous Rights Go Digital in Canada

An existing licensing authority is expanding its jurisdiction to iGaming in Canada, bringing the most prominent indigenous tribes into the iGaming market.  From Land-based to Online The KPK Commission is the authority in place in Canada to license, regulate and oversee eCommerce within the 11 nation File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council, who until now have implemented their most well-known expansion in the area of land-based casinos and gaming. File Hills Qu’Appelle already supports and invests in natural resource, construction, housing health care, and land-based casino activity, and the new jurisdiction green lights them to enter iGaming.  Implementation The mobilization process by which an infrastructure for regulation was implemented is interesting: it started with KPK's interest in the popularity and effectiveness of revenue increases in the Asian markets as a result of iGaming, according to what KPK Commission President Edmund Bellegarde told Calvin Ayre. After tabbing iGaming an opportunity for growth, Bellegarde explains that the First Nation members of File Hills were mobilized to enact laws and regulations in their own charters for which KPK created the KPK Group of Companies and the KPK Commission to oversee that activity. KPK itself is a non-profit quasi self-regulatory organization that has been created to unify the activities of all the most prominent Indian tribes in Canada under one set of guidelines. Those activities have now been expanded to include online gambling.  Indigenous Rights  The commission extends the indigenous rights authority of the First Nation members, that has commonly come to be associated with the associated trend by which Indian reservations all over North America were allowed to create a commission on their lands as outside the jurisdiction of the states that otherwise prohibited gambling activity. Banking Services The tribal council itself also maintains a relationship with the governments of Antigua and Barbuda, and this will will open the door for a foray into financial services. Bellegarde further disclosed that KPK is in the final stages of setting up the KPK Bank under a Class 1 offshore bank license in Antigua as a commercial-digital bank specializing in banking and merchant account services for iGaming operators.

French Football: Angers vs. Rennes

PSG already has a comfortable advantage over the pack and is probably going to win the championship long before the final round. While this is hardly a shock, the fact that Angers is tied for the second-place with Lyon and St Etienne comes as a surprise. The runners-up are hard-pressed to defend their position this Friday when Rennes come visiting, but once again they will turn to their impeccable backline. No Goals Scored in Three Games A flawless defense kept Angers among the elite French football teams, but it looks like the solid backline is pretty much on its own. The team hasn’t scored in the last three games and previously they had to settle for narrow margin victories over mediocre opponents. With Dore injured, the offensive will feature a single player, while N’Doye and Camara will feature in the midfield. The two players have scored a total of five goals so far, which makes them the most dangerous players for the home side. Angers is unlikely to come out firing on all cylinders, fully aware of the danger posed by Rennes on counterattack. Rennes Turns into a Streaky Team The visitors won four games in a row earlier this season, then drew the next four and they are currently alternating defeats with victories and draws. Inconsistency is a major problem for Rennes and they hope to solve their offensive woes in this fixture against a defensive home team. Rennes has only three players unavailable ahead of this match but Ntep is one of them, so they will have no choice but to use Grosiki and Sio up front. Bookmakers are once again expecting a low-scoring affair and that’s why punters should take generous odds of 1.95 on Over 2 goals with Bet365 Sport. If exactly 2 goals are scored, the bookmaker will return the stakes.

The Czech Republic's Booming Gambling Industry on the Rise

The Czech Republic is in amidst of an online gambling boom. Since 2011, the number of land-based slot machines has shrunk from 102,00 in 2011, to around 67,000 today, and much of that decrease is due to online gaming. Combined, land-based and online gambling in the Czech Republic is worth over $4 billion, and when posting numbers like that, the top online brands in the world are making a surge to get in on the action. Czech Regulation Today, there are no regulations stopping residents of the Czech Republic to play online at local iGaming sites or operators abroad. The government is planning to begin make operators get licenses in the country, but until then brands like EU Casino, BETAT Casino and Jackpot City Casino are of the most popular sites therein. These brands are zeroing in on what the average Czech player likes to play, and they are designing games that will appeal to the growing audience. Online Casinos for Czech Players There are now over 150 online casinos in the Czech Republic, and many of them offer the Czech Koruna (CZK) as an accepted form of currency. There are even local language settings making casinos more accessible for Czech players. This is optimal for local players as they can even talk to customer service representatives. By offering all of this localization, Czech players will not lose money on exchange rates, as they can use local credit cards, debits and even local eWallet and other online banking services, and they will have an overall better online experience. Another huge part of the online success is that brands like EU Casino, BETAT Casino and Jackpot City Casino, and the other brands operating in Czech Republic are having is due to their attractive special offers, that promise everything from free spins or a cash match on many deposits. This is just the beginning for this young market and as time goes on, more and more online casinos will be flocking to the Czech Republic, which will mean more competition and better deals for local players.

La Liga: Celta Vigo vs. Valencia

Playing against Celta Vigo proved to be a nightmare for many Spanish teams, including some sitting at the top of the food chain. Real Madrid managed to defeat them on the road, just a couple of weeks after Barcelona failed miserably and conceded four goals. It is now Valencia’s time to try and win in Vigo, but they’ve got a busy midweek that includes a Champions League fixture in Belgium. Valencia Fighting a War on Two Fronts The visitors need to regain their strength after facing Gent on Wednesday and hope that the list of injured players will be limited to three footballers. Valencia has used the same starting formation throughout October and results were generally positive, with the team winning three times at home. Atletico Madrid was the only team to defeat them over the span, but this is a top class squad so manager Santo has no reason to be disgruntled. His major concern is that the first goalkeeper is still injured, but luckily for him and Valencia the backup goalie rose to the occasion and managed to keep two clean sheets Celta Vigo Still Pushing Its Luck The home side managed to stay at the top of the Primera Division tables by scoring goals in the final minutes of the games. Once again they rebounded after allowing two goals in the first half and eventually emerged victorious against Real Sociedad last Saturday. With no players injured or suspended, it is no surprise that Celta Vigo is credited with the first chance by bookies including Bet365. Savvy punters will not hesitate to back the underdog in this fixture, but risk-averse players will be better off taking even odds offered on a double chance wager on Valencia. They have a better head to head record and the fact that they can settle for one point makes this bet tempting.

NetEnt Achieves Record Revenues, Profits for the Quarter

NetEnt chief executive Per Eriksson, chief executive of NetEnt, has trumpeted his company's achievement of record levels of revenue and profit in the three months through to September 30. Staggering Totals for Q3 The groundbreaking software developer's totals for the third quarter reached SEK 279.8 million (€29.7 million/$33.6 million), for an increase of 28.8% increase from the SEK 217.2 million posted in the corresponding period last year. Operating profits also jumped significantly, a whopping 43.5% to SEK105.2 million, with operating margin jumping to 37.6%. More positive results on display for the third quarter include the 44.5% profit after tax total of SEK97.6 million, and a jump in total earnings per share before and after dilution from SEK1.69 to SEK2.44. Staggering Totals for 2015 Fiscal to Date The robust performance for Q3 bolstered the robust performance NetEnt is showing for the year to date, with the total revenue for the 2015 at SEK809.3 million, for a healthy jump of 32.5% on the same period in 2014. However, the most telling and significant figure of all has to be operating profit for the year, which grew 54.3% to SEK 279.8 million, with operating margin up to 34.6%, and profit after tax pushing 55.5% to SEK 258.3 million. That is the kind of performance from which records are made. Significant landmark achievements which fueled this growth include the historic milestone of NetEnt games becoming available in the USA for the first time in New Jersey state this quarter, a key to the company's growth strategy according to Eriksson. This growth strategy is coupled with a product release schedule of at least one new title a month for all customers, along with a committed internal game customization process. Customization Process Bolsters Growth The customization process is being bolstered by ongoing operator additions, which 26 new customers set to be launched as NetEnt gaming provider brands, which already include Slotty Vegas Casino, 247Play casino and Spin Empire.  At any rate, the model of expansion at NetEnt is an attractive piece of business strategy carefully designed to sustain current record growth. Proactive expansion is the key to continued success at NetEnt, and Eriksson and his colleagues couldn't be more pleased.

Conservatives Lead the Fight Against US Online Gambling

There is a huge battle currently raging in the United States, and like most things these days, it revolves around the internet. Groups both for and against online gambling have become more and more outspoken over the past year as the issue heats up. As of now, there are no federal regulations governing internet gambling, but three pioneering states have passed their own regulations: Nevada, Delaware and New Jersey. At the same time, conservatives are pushing for a federal ban on online gambling, which would mean that the three states that have already legalized it will have to shut down their operations. It also means that the many states that are strongly considering legalizing it will be stopped in their tracks. Who is leading the fight against online gambling? Sheldon Adelson is the most outspoken lobbyist against online gambling; ironically, he made his own fortune as a casino mogul. He created the Coalition to Stop Internet Gambling, which acts as the lead lobbying group against it. Members of his coalition include groups such as Focus on Family, Concerned Women for America and Let Freedom Ring. Rep. Jason Chaffetz of Utah has been the force behind the Restoration of America’s Wire Act (RAWA), an act that would reverse a decision made by the Justice Department in 2011 that bans only online sports betting, not online casinos. The good news is that last week, Chaffetz dropped his bid for Speaker of the House, which means that online gambling supporters will have an easier time fighting RAWA. Benefits of Online Gambling Not only can online gambling heal the budget deficits that many states are currently facing, but regulating internet gambling can also protect American citizens. The fact is, many Americans play online at illegal or offshore sites, leaving them unprotected in case of fraud or theft. Regulating online gambling will protect American citizens, who will find ways to gamble, whether it’s legal or not.

Next Week: The Malta iGaming Seminar

Malta has become one of the top locations for licensing in the iGaming industry and it should come as no surprise that the Malta iGaming Seminar is highly anticipated every year. The event attracts professionals from the industry and provides the environment for networking, learning from expert speakers and gaining new insights on the key markets. The dates have been set for 16th-19th November and it will take place at Corinthia Hotel, in St. George’s Bay, Malta. Conference schedule The event launch will help get attendees in the right mood with a free roll poker tournament. Interested participants can put their skills to the test and play for fun, while beating other delegates and having fun at the tables. The first official day is on 17th November and it will feature several speakers on key topics. Sue Schneider from MIGS Limited, Christian Cardona from the Government of Malta and Joseph Cuschieri from the Malta Gaming Authority will help welcome the attendees and update them on the regulations in Malta. Some of the most anticipated topics on the first day are the ways Malta sustains itself as an international jurisdiction, costs associated with the gambling business and cross border liquidity. Day two will continue in a very similar fashion and cover topics related to sports betting and mobile gaming with notable speakers like John Barnes, Dominic Micallef, David Johnson and Simon Hammon. The third day is more relaxed and will focus on somewhat smaller topics, like fantasy sports, payments and the progress path of the industry. An event for networking Networking breaks and lunches are scheduled throughout the MiGS in order to allow those who attend it to make the most of the event. Special events like a harbor cruise and zorb football make it more entertaining and it is expected that the conference will once again be a big hit.

The Derby of Rome Turns the Eternal City into a Raging Volcano

It doesn’t really matter where the two teams sit in the standings when the Derby begins, because this is the most important match of the year for both AS Roma and Lazio fans. The home side could leapfrog the leader and Inter Milan if they defeat their archrivals, while Lazio is in dire need of points after failing miserably over the weekend against AC Milan. Inter Milan Snaps as Roma's Winning Streak One goal proved to be enough for AS Roma to lose on the road and in the process they were overtaken by both their victors and Fiorentina. The defeat came at the worst possible time, as the Italians are also playing a difficult match in the Champions League. Luckily for them they don’t have players injured or suspended, so they can use a competitive starting formation in both fixtures. Inter Milan did a brilliant job at containing the offensive prowess of AS Roma, as the Romans have scored an average of three goals per match in October. Against Lazio, they will not hold back and given the importance of this fixture the home side can’t afford to aim for a single point. Lazio Suffers First Back-To-Back Defeats Over the course of just three days, Lazio lost two games and by doing so they are no longer within striking distance of the leaders. They are also a part of the European adventure, but they have an easier task of defeating Rosenborg on Thursday. Fatigue is finally catching up with Lazio and now that the backline is tormented by injured and suspended players, their chances don’t look that good against AS Roma. Bet365 Sport offers even odds to those punters willing to back the home side at full stakes and given their recent form and head to head results, this seems to be the right choice.

William Hill's Unlucky Quarter

It looks as though online sportsbook William Hill will have a far less profitable years than they originally assumed during the first few quarters. Recently, punters from the UK to Australia have been getting lucky after making bets on Horse Racing, American Football and Soccer and winning. Punters may be happy with the outcome but William Hill is definitely not as happy, even though they like it when their players win. The other factor which has led to William Hill's 7.9% share drop is the $35 million increase in UK duties which is new this year. “We always expected a tough quarter, but clearly it’s been a lot tougher than anticipated,” said Nick Batram, analyst at Peel Hunt in London. Mr. Batram recently changed his recommendation on Will Hill stock from hold to buy due to the drop in shares. Now would be the time for people to buy shares as William Hill is sure to rise again soon. William Hill is not the only company that is struggling this year, as Ladbrokes is also reporting a 57% drop in third quarter profits. As of a few days ago, William Hill shares were worth 319.6 pence, which is a huge drop for the UK mega brand. The biggest loss came in Australia on October 2 as all nine of the favorites in Horse Racing won and Will Hill had to pay out millions in winnings. The NFL games were also a thorn in their side as the favorites have continued to win without much competition from the underdogs. William Hill Unshaken A brand like William Hill will not let this stop them from providing their impeccable services or competitive odds. The truth is the brand has never been as popular even with new competition online. They will most likely offer even bigger odds for underdog bets and create new ways for punters to get in on their favorite sports action.
