New to the exciting world of American Football betting? We take a look at how the NFL 2025 season is shaping up and what sports betting fans can look forward to as it progresses.
The 2025 NFL Season is expected to be a hot commodity among sports betting fans, and not just those in the United States. According to a release by the American Gaming Association (AGA), they are projecting a nearly 9% increase in the season’s handle, pushing the total to around $30 billion!
Bill Miller, AGA President and CEO, said:
“This season, fans have more ways than ever to responsibly engage with the game they love. Legal sports betting enhances the fun and friendly competition that make NFL games and traditions even more special.”
In light of this, he stressed the need for safer gambling:
“With strong consumer protections and a shared commitment to responsibility, the legal, regulated sports betting industry encourages all football fans to have a game plan before placing a bet and ensure their gameday experience – regardless of the outcome of a bet or the game – remains enjoyable.”
This aligns with the organisation’s responsible sports betting campaign, which launched ahead of the NFL season, “Have a Game Plan. Bet Responsibly”.

As per their existing multi-year partnership agreements, Caesars Entertainment, DraftKings, and FanDuel continue as the official US sports betting partners of the 2025 NFL season.
However, with the growing interest in the sport, the NFL have rolled out some new agreements with a more international flavour - and a brief respite from sleep-depriving time zones for European NFL fans.
The first of these to grab headlines was the announcement that Paddy Power had been selected as the Official Sportsbook Partner of the NFL 2025 for both the United Kingdom and Ireland, with the first regular-season game scheduled for Ireland in week four of the new season.
Following that, it was announced that Bwin Sports would take up the official multi-year partner mantle in Spain this year. The first NFL game for the 2025 season is scheduled to take place at the Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, in week 11, when the Washington Commanders and the Miami Dolphins go head-to-head.

While the addition of new American Football betting partners sounds exciting, it pales in comparison to the sheer number of partners that the event has drawn. The NFL showcased a record-breaking sponsor roster of 46 partnerships ranging from AI data analysis to sports drinks.
With the first week under our belts, we thought it would be helpful to take a look at some of the highlights and low-lights so far.
As expected from such a physically demanding sport, the odds providers did a fairly good job setting out the playing field, but that doesn’t mean they got it all right:
