Grand Theft Auto VI already has its own Polymarket category. From another delay to Bitcoin hitting $1 million and even the return of Jesus Christ, traders are placing bets on what happens before Rockstar's biggest game finally arrives.
Grand Theft Auto VI is still months away from its scheduled 19 November 2026 release, yet traders have already poured tens of millions of dollars into markets tied to Rockstar's blockbuster.
Some are sensible. Others sound like they belong in the game itself. But when a video game gets its own prediction market, you know expectations have reached another level.
Few entertainment launches have generated this much anticipation. Rockstar Games has officially opened pre-orders through participating retailers ahead of the November release, while analysts continue predicting one of the biggest launches in gaming history.
At the same time, social media has been flooded with claims that GTA 6 has already generated billions in pre-sales or attracted tens of millions of pre-orders. Those figures remain unverified; however, neither Rockstar Games nor parent company Take-Two Interactive has published official sales numbers.
One thing is beyond dispute: GTA 6 has become such a cultural event that Polymarket now hosts a dedicated category tracking predictions around its release.

More than $23.4 million has already been traded on a market simply titled "What will happen before GTA VI?" Instead of asking whether the game succeeds, traders are weighing up entirely different questions.
Will Bitcoin reach $1 million first? Could Rihanna finally release another album? One contract even asks whether Jesus Christ returns before GTA VI.
Current market sentiment leaves almost every outcome balanced on a knife-edge. Here are the “What will happen before GTA VI?” markets in volume order:
The market resolves once GTA VI launches in the United States. If none of the listed events happens first, every unresolved contract settles at 50-50. It feels absurd, but that's precisely why so many people are watching it.

Rockstar has already postponed GTA VI once before. The original May 2026 launch window was pushed back to 19 November 2026, giving developers extra time to finish the video game. That history explains why Polymarket opened another market asking whether Rockstar will delay the title again. So far, traders aren't convinced.
The ⁓$600K market gives another postponement, with only about a 9% chance. There's even less confidence that GTA VI arrives earlier than planned. The ⁓$35K market covering a release before November currently sits around 3%.

Pricing has become another talking point. Polymarket users overwhelmingly expect Rockstar to launch GTA VI above traditional pricing levels. Contracts asking whether the PlayStation 5 version costs at least $60, $70 or $80 all attract roughly 97% confidence with ⁓$65K in combined volume.
Crossing the $100 mark is another story. Only about 2% of traders believe the standard edition will launch with a three-figure price tag, and the market’s volume sits at ⁓$365K in volume.

Prediction markets currently give a 74% chance (⁓$99K Vol.) that another official GTA VI trailer arrives before 31 August, while confidence drops sharply for a release before the end of July.
Given Rockstar's history of carefully timed marketing campaigns, traders appear to believe another showcase is only weeks away.

Gambling has long been part of the Grand Theft Auto universe. Previous entries allowed players to visit virtual casinos and play casino games ranging from blackjack to roulette.
Reports and community speculation suggest GTA VI could expand those activities even further, with players expecting options such as baccarat, video poker, slot machines, craps, poker tables, and even dominoes.
One rumour has attracted particular attention online:
An X post by @kirawontmiss postulated that GTA VI could include a built-in Rainbet Casino featuring sportsbook-style betting and live gambling events.
However, there’s no evidence that Rockstar Games has announced or confirmed such a partnership, and the rumour should be treated as speculation until the developer says otherwise.
It does highlight just how closely gambling culture and GTA have become linked over the years.

GTA VI is already dominating conversations months before release, and prediction markets have turned that anticipation into a game of their own. Whether you're following launch dates, technology, entertainment or other headline-grabbing events, these markets offer a fascinating snapshot of public expectations as stories unfold.
