He then put the site's software (and the site itself) up for sale on the R/Bitcoin subreddit for it to be run and developed by someone else. The software itself is very unique, which is what makes it so enticing for cryptocurrency fans. The site uses a provably fair system, which means that cryptographic hash functions are turned into data strings, making it near-on impossible to derive the original data. How to Play

There are two ways you can play SatoshiDice. The first is to use the website itself, which couldn't be any simpler. Use the sliders to either adjust your bet amount or your chance to win. This will then change the 'profit on win' amount. Hit roll dice to place your bet and you'll see the result within seconds. Any winnings will then be credited to your account in less than 30 seconds.

The second way is to gamble on the blockchain, which is a way of playing for more advanced users. You don't even need to login to the website to use this feature, as it's all done from your Bitcoin wallet!
