888 Poker Pro Leo Margets is Fan Favorite

888 poker pro Leo Margets is a favorite with fans, especially of the male variety, and it's not hard to figure out why when one considers her good looks. But there's far more to the Barcelona native, who only learnt how to play poker four years ago when she was taught the game by her boyfriend, and showed such rapid improvement that she won the first event she participated in, prompting 888 to rush forward with their sponsorship offer. Since then, Margets has achieved some impressive results at major tournaments, most notably finishing 27th at the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event, which netted her $352,000, and third at the 2010 Aussie Millions, which won her $54,000. Lady in the House As a woman playing in one of the few countries in Europe where poker has yet to make such a big mark, Margets' presence can only be a positive thing. She won the award for best player at the country's Planet Poker awards in 2009, and has also shown a lighter side, writing recently in her blog that she made a bet with a friend that would require her to dress up in October Fest if she lost a five-match series (her friend would have had to dress in traditional Scottish clothing). The story ends with Margets losing the bet, and her many fans will no doubt be waiting to see photographic evidence.

Full Tilt Poker Pulls Android App over Ratings

Full Tilt Poker has pulled its new Android application, apparently because it conflicted with a new ratings system for the device. The beta version of the new Rush Poker mobile application was only released last week, making it's the first official poker game for the device that players can bet money on. It was released for users of the Android 2.2 exclusively and required Adobe Flash to run. No Access However, Android users wanting to run Rush Poker were unable to access the application in the last couple of days, leading to all sorts of rumors in the mobile poker playing community. The withdrawal of the game coincided with the introduction of new ratings for Android games, which include a directive that real gambling would be prohibited, while gambling themed application should be rated for teenagers or older. This might be bad news only for those who are yet to download the application. According to reports from some gambling news websites, those who have already downloaded the app should still be able to play it. OCR Reports Online Casino Reports reported on the Android poker app launch last week, and will continue following the story.

Oprah Winfrey announced her favorite things for 2010 to much fanfare, and mobile gamblers players will be familiar with her chief selection - Apple's iPad, which she called her "ultimate favorite thing." Oprah Winfrey Oprah, who is currently filming the final season of the talk show that she has hosted for decades and that has made her one of the world's most recognizable personalities, unveiled the list of dozens of products and activities in an episode that went to air across the US this week. The list included the usual watch and jewelry selections, as well as the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle, but the Apple iPad beat them all to the number one spot. iPad Gambling The tablet computer has become enormously popular with mobile gamblers, who have been able to use the device for those purposes since leading online casino and sports book operator Betfair launched the first ever betting application for the device. iPad 2, the new and improved version of the device, is slated for official release some time in the first quarter of 2011, which is good news for both Oprah Winfrey and online gamblers.

Powerball Lottery Ticket Story Remembered

Ever wondered how you'd react if you won some lottery millions? Would you talk to the media or keep your identity secret? Imagine this scenario: you've won 10s of millions of dollars on a ticket you bought in - shall we say - a place you really don't want your wife, or your granny for that matter, to know you frequent. The story is already all over the newspapers and everyone is waiting for the winner to come forward. What do you do? Visit the Porn Shop - Win 69.6 Million! This is precisely the dilemma that a certain Michigan lottery winner faced recently. The Powerball ticket, worth nearly 70 million dollars, was purchased at a seedy Detroit adult bookstore in October. It took a while for anyone to "admit" they were the lucky winner, but when someone did own up, it seemed that a strategy for salvaging reputations was in place... Ill Gotten Gains Put Into the Service of the Lord 49-year-old Mike Greer came forward as the representative of a group of "family and friends" who are the newly-made millionaires. He hinted that some of the cash will be put to Christian use: "The only thing I can assume is that the Lord trusted us to do certain things with the money that he bestowed upon us," he said. "That's the only thing I can gather." Number of Winners Unknown Greer would say only that the group consists of more than two but fewer than 100 souls. He emphasized that he hadn't bought the ticket, and that the group didn't care where it had been bought. It should be pointed out that the shop has an external lottery window, so people aren't obliged to view the adult products when buying a ticket there. In any case, the group has opted for a lump sum payout of their prize, rather than annual installments. The Online Lottery Alternative Of course all this could be avoided, save the win - that can still very much happen, if you buy your Powerball and other lottery tickets online. Sites like The Lotter and others sell Powerball tickets and other online lotteries.
