Lately, Generation X has been realizing it's growing up. We're not graying yet, but there's definitely a little nostalgia going around with 8bit graphics game like Flappy Bird surging in popularity. We've been seeing a lot of articles reminiscing about cassette players, roller skates, floppy discs, and arcade games. The arcades used to be a main feature of growing up - after school (or perhaps "instead of school" for some!) we would often go to the arcades to play games. Pinball machines used to be a favorite of mine - I just loved the sounds and flashing lights. Nowadays, everyone plays games on their computer or phone; arcades are a bygone past and pinball machines are rather quaint. Well, thankfully for those who would like to take a walk down memory lane, there are now online arcade games and they are a very popular trend at online casinos. While it will never be the same as hanging out in a shop with friends having an under-aged beer, these games do hold a lot of the charm that we loved in arcade games - the skill challenges, the flashy lights and brilliant sounds - plus the ability to win real money! Pinball Roulette Pinball Roulette is a great game to start with. It's the perfect kidult game - the pinball game of my childhood, combined with a roulette game for the adult in me. On top of the awesome animation, the bonus rounds and high stake multipliers deliver serious money! Delicious. Knock Out For those of you who miss fighting games, make sure you give Knock Out a whirl. It's a classic 3D boxing game. Depending on your punch angles and their difficulty, you will get more rewarding odds and payouts. This a brilliant take on a classic arcade game. KO! These games are available at Europa Casino via their free download. They are just two examples of the arcade games they have. They are listed as Arcade Games under the Casino Games section and you'll also find darts, bowling and more.
Nowadays it has become a standard for online casinos to offer live dealer games. These give players a casino experience akin to that they would have had in a real brick & mortar casino. It's like going into a real casino without ever leaving home, so to say. With the help of cutting-edge technology, players can interact with real professional dealers via seamless live feeds. The Pure Casino Experience A true "real life" feeling is conveyed by playing with live croupiers and other players, also negating the need for Random Number Generators (RNG) creating a pure casino experience. The dealer communicates with all players around the table which can usually be seen with their own webcams; this also makes for a more social component which is very present in brick & mortar casinos and absent when playing against computer opponents. Live dealer platforms are usually accompanied by advanced chat features, stats and game history to make the experience even more complete and help players track their wins and losses. Common Live Dealer Games The most common games available in live dealer versions are Roulette, Blackjack, Casino Hold'em and Baccarat. Some casinos have smaller selections with more limited live dealer game options. EuroGrand Casino, for example, is known for offering players a full live dealer experience. EuroGrand offers some interesting features like a complete 3D view in its instance of Live Roulette. The Playtech software powering EuroGrand's live dealer platform allows for a smooth and realistic experience made complete with crisp audio and clear graphics, however the quality is also dependent on the quality of players' internet connection. Fail-safe measures make sure that if players disconnect during their live dealer session, the game can later be restored with all the correct stats.
Despite being one of the front-runners for online gambling regulation, recent comments by James McHugh, a commissioner on the Massachusetts Gaming Commission have shown that online gambling regulation plans for 2014 will probably be shelved. Speaking at the USA Online Gambling Forum at the Borgata in Atlantic City, McHugh said that in this session, the iGaming bill for Massachusetts will not pass. However, McHugh added that it is a "serious" effort. This is a serious change of tone seeing that only last month McHugh spoke optimistically about the state exploring online gambling, during the Massachusetts Gaming Commission iGaming forum. While Massachusetts has had some high-profile advocates for online gambling regulation like State Treasurer and Gubernatorial candidate Steve Grossman and State Senator Bruce Tarr, it seems that as of right now the more conservative voices have won the day. It is likely that Massachusetts will wait out and see how the new industries in Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware fare before deciding if to join in. Mississippi Studying Online Gambling Lawmakers in the state of Mississippi have set up a committee which is to study online gambling and sports betting and their expected impact if admitted into the state. The committee is composed out of eight extremely diverse members, and its findings which will are expected by the end of the year will not include policy recommendations. Pennsylvania Study Mississippi has gone in the footsteps of the state of Pennsylvanian which appointed a committee to study online gambling admission into the state back in December 2013. Surrounded by legalized online gambling states Delaware and New Jersey, Pennsylvania is considered a candidate for regulating online gambling. The committee's deadline is the 1 st of May and its results are expected to have an influence on the future of online gambling in the state.
Etihad Stadium is the venue for today's game between Premier League title claimants Manchester City and the bottom struggling Sunderland. Positioned third in the table with 70 points (22w, 4d, 6l), Manchester City slipped against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, losing three important championship race points to the Reds. The Citizens will want to do everything in their power not to lose any points from now on, seeing that Chelsea jumped one position in front of them with 75 points after beating Swansea 0-1. On the surface this might look too easy for City, as they host one of the weakest teams in the league this season, Sunderland. Positioned at the bottom of the relegation zone at 20 with 25 points (6w, 7d, 19l), Sunderland hasn't won a league game since the beginning of February, the team lost 7 out of their last 8 games in the Premier. The Black Cats have deep problems this season which will impossible to fix quickly. Sunderland is currently 7 points away from safety and with today's fixture and trips to Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge in the near future, things are looking quite grim for the team. Add to that the fact that Manchester City have won 14 of their last 15 Premier League home fixtures and it takes one brave punter to wager on Sunderland. There are currently few standard practices across EU nations for the control of advertising and protection of users of online gambling sites. In the next few weeks, the European Commission are due to release draft details and recommendations to harmonise regulations.BackgroundThe rapidly changing online gambling business, plus the lack of any formal EU standards, has led to each country adopting their own rules, so in 2011, the Commission outlined an agreement on ''Responsible Remote Gambling Measures.'' This was the first such agreement to cover the whole of the EU, and largely covered protection for users and what advertising is acceptable. With the trade body, The European Gaming and Betting Association working on the measures as well, it is hoped that a balanced approach will protect both consumers and the industry. There are an estimated 7 million Europeans who bet online, making up almost 15% of the global market, and the Commission is hoping that proper regulations will encourage them to use authorised sites and keep away from the unregulated ones.New ProposalsThe Commission is looking at several different aspects that will work to avoid problem gambling, protect minors, and encourage advertisers to act responsibly. Existing gambling operators who operate across the Union will be working with the Commission to develop systems that will ensure only over-18's use the sites, while not making it so difficult to register that potential customers use un-regulated sites instead.Measures could include prominent warnings that underage users cannot access the websites, to electronic verification systems that have proved very effective in the past. To discourage problem gambling, there are recommendations that players should be able to self restrict spending, or block themselves from gambling websites, while the Commission has noted that whatever the local regulations, levels of gambling addiction are similar across member states. It has also been proposed that any new regulatory body should be given powers to track banned players.Once the recommendations are published, online gambling operators will be expected to follow them, and the EU will consider making them legally binding if this does not happen to their satisfaction.

For Toronto, coming off a win in their series with Baltimore winning 2 out of 3 games moving them into a tie for first place in the AL East. The Twins have also had recent success sweeping the Royals and improving to 6-6 for a .500 win percentage. The Blue Jays have an outright advantage on the Twins as they have an 43-16 record against them in the last 8 years and an amazing 5-1 record last season. Both teams will need their pitchers to have excellent game as the bats have been hot for both teams lately. For Toronto, they will need to see more from Brandon Morrow, starting Game 1 of this series and R.A. Dickey, starting Game 2. Target Field is known to be a pitchers field so the batting needs to stay on the ball in Minnesota. The Jays cannot underestimate the Twins' offense as the Royals did because even though Minnesota isn't known for heavy hitting, they have been proving exactly the opposite this year.Live Betsbet365 Sports is one of the most popular online sportsbooks in the world and they have many lines for all the games this MLB regular and post season. The Players Poker Alliance (PPA), a long time proponent of online poker, is now preparing for a fight against two online poker prohibition bills introduced by US Senator Lindsey Graham and Congressman Jasson Chaffetz last week. The PPA has published a video in which Executive Director John Pappas asked viewers to support the PPA, saying: "We have a serious fight on our hands". The two bills aim to expand the Wire Act of 1961 which never had anything to do with the internet - to prohibit licensing and regulation of online gaming nationwide, including the states which have already regulated iGaming. Potential States on the Horizon for Regulation Despite constant threats as the two bills introduced in Washington, iGaming has made great strides in the United States last year when Nevada, Delaware and New Jersey started regulating and allowing online games in their jurisdiction. Since then many other states started contemplating entering joining but it seems that legislators prefer the "wait and see" route to observe how iGaming fares in the regulated states. Both Colorado and Connecticut are two good candidates for the future. Known for its progressive nature as can be seen by the recent legislation of marijuana, Colorado is a very possible candidate for iGaming regulation. An iPoker bill was actually drafted by Colorado lawmakers last year but the effort quenched. Connecticut saw the legislation of keno in the state last year in an attempt to raise revenues. This was added the public support for iGaming expressed by Governor Dannel P. Malloy. Rise in NJ Online Poker Revenues Contemplating states can look at the figures released by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement recently, showing that online poker in the garden state continues to grow. March was marked by a 3.26% increase, with revenues up to $3.2 million.
