Just by having Lionel Messi on their side, Argentina is one of the strongest teams in the World Cup. They have struggled in a few of their games but Messi has been the team's guardian angel each and every time. Even when Switzerland put pressure on Messi restricting the captain all over the pitch, he managed to find Di Maria with an incredible pass to win the game in the 118th minute. Belgium have been brilliant this tournament and just like Argentina, they have won all their games so far. It was a tough fought battle against an American team that wouldn't give up and a record-breaking performance by the US goalie Tim Howard. Belgium however were just way too strong for the Americans defense. Much like the Argentina - Switzerland game, this one was decided in overtime meaning that both teams had to fight the same battle in order to get here. Tale of the Tape In all, Argentina and Belgium have met 4 times with the South Americans taking 3/4 and scoring 10 goals to Belgium's 4. Keys to Victory Argentina will need to provide much better support to Messi and Di Maria if they are to beat Belgium. Watch out for Romelu Lukaku and Marouane Fellaini for Belgium but both teams have dangerous players across the board. This should be one of the best games so far at the Brazil World Cup and you can catch the action from Estádio Nacional de Brasilia. Prediction I personally hope this game is decided in regular time which might be easier said then done as both will be on the non-stop attack from the first whistle. I will go with Argentina 3-2 with a couple goals from Messi in the clutch over Belgium to reach the Semi-Final. Belgium does have a chance, but in the end Messi is the best in the world and that counts for a lot. It's a game that cannot be missed and the winner will face either the Netherlands or Costa Rica also tonight at 09:00pm UK time.
The Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador is the venue for today's second quarter-final match between the Netherlands and Costa Rica (9pm UK time). Costa Rica Costa Rica is one of the World Cup's biggest surprises, sweeping its group winning over Uruguay and Italy and tying a scoreless draw with England in garbage time. The Round of 16 saw the Costa Ricans struggle with the fierce Greeks who equalized late in the game, but the momentum was turned around when Gekas missed and Costa Rica climbed to the quarter-final. Costa Rica's defense has been excellent all around, managing to hold off Greece with 10 men after Oscar Duarte was sent off – he will be missed by the Costa Rican defense today and the Dutch are sure to try and find holes in the wall. Netherlands The 2010 finalists weren't thought of as a big threat when they landed in Brazil, but after ripping the other finalist and champion from 2010, Spain, on their first game – the orchestra changed its tune. Equipped with a brilliant offense with Robben and van Persie alongside a creative midfield, the Dutch present a tough challenge to any rival team, but they failed to impress too much in the Round of 16 against Mexico despite the late equalizer – if it wasn't for the penalty kick in the 94th minute things might have looked different today. Yet, the Dutch remain favorites for today. Bet Live Winner Sports will have full live coverage of today's quarter-final. There are over 103 betting markets for this game including special penalty and overtime markets if the game does not get decided in 90 minutes. In full time result, Winner has 1/2 on the Netherlands, 13/2 on Costa Rica and 16/5 for a draw. Don't miss this game - you could witness history.

Ireland has finalized new remote betting legislation which is expected to be in place by the end of the year. Sent to EC The official version of the Irish Betting Amendment Bill has been sent off to the European Commission (EC) for final approval. In three months, the EC should confirm that the Irish Bill is compliant with the broader principles of newer EU law. Irish Online Regulatory Plan The new Bill details the licencing and tax of all bookmakers operating within its jurisdiction, whether those operators are based in Ireland or not (taking into account the fact that online operators can be based anywhere in the world, so that the Irish citizenry would be granted full regulated access to those sites by the new Bill sent to EC). The Bill would require remote online operators to submit 1% of Ireland-based revenues and also imposes a 15% tax on Ireland-based wagers. Irish Gaming Revenues The value of the Irish betting market is estimated at €1.6bn a year annually. The Irish government expects to add approximately €16m in tax revenue annually as a result of the new legislation. Land-based Interests The bill also provides longer opening hours for land-based casinos in Ireland, spurring hope from the land-based industry for a quick passage, but the thoroughness and compliance which the three month process represents will ultimately benefit the gaming industry as a whole for the long term. Once EC regulatory approval is issued, Irish gambling activity can commence fully regulated and continue unabated. Further Regulatory Framework Legislation In the interim, broader gambling legislation is being drafted by the Irish Parliament to establish a dedicated gambling regulator enforcement authority that discourages illegal gambling activity as well as being more protective of consumers.

This July, Aladdin's Wishes will grant all players ten free spins as well as bonuses of up to R1500. And as the month's featured game, Springbok will double any comp points earned by players playing Aladdin's Wishes. As the name of the game implies, Aladdin's Wishes is chock-full of the possibility of profit. This 5-reel, 20 payline slot includes scatter symbols and a bonus feature that rewards up to 25 free spins or up to 100x bet multiplier. An easy, fun way to make all your dreams come true this July.
With Nevada, Delaware and New Jersey trailblazing the path of state-regulated online gaming, a number of other states are eager to follow their lead. As of now, Illinois, New York, California, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania are poised to introduce online gaming bills, which could change the entire landscape of this highly-charged issue. Why Online Gaming? The desire of many states to introduce online gaming within their borders is based on a common factor: budget deficits. Online gambling has the potential to bring in hundreds of millions of dollars in tax money alone for any state bold enough to allow it, which makes it quite an appealing choice for local governments. According to a report commissioned by Pennsylvania, introducing online gaming could bring in approximately $184 million to the state in the first year alone. After that, the annual revenue is estimated to exceed $300 million annually. Should Pennsylvania, Illinois and California introduce bills legislating online gambling, the entire scope of the national situation will shift. As of now, New Jersey is the most highly populated state to have legalized online gambling, with 8 million residents. Illinois and Pennsylvania have a total of 25 million residents, and California has a whopping 40 million residents. If these highly-populated states do, in fact, pass bills legalizing online gaming, the United States online gambling market will become a serious business force to be reckoned with, not just internally but by Europe as well. Opposition to Online Gambling in the US Sheldon Adelson has been the most outspoken opponent of online gaming in the US, mostly on a federal level. His fairly-recent creation, the Coalition to Stop Internet Gambling, is backed by his own millions (made ironically through land-based casinos), and has made considerable headway in its mission. However, should more states legalize online gambling, he will certainly experience a significant setback in his goals.
An infographic published by Right Casino (above) sheds some very interesting light on Britain's gambling habits in general and on its thriving online gambling market in particular. The numbers displayed regarding the country's online gambling industry show that the UK is a force to be reckoned with. Market worth over £2 Billion According to the information which was gathered from different sources like the BBC, The Guardian and The Independent, the UK online gambling market is worth over £2 billion. This is an astounding number which renders the UK a powerhouse of online gaming. Furthermore, the numbers show that in 2013 alone the average household in the UK spent around £166 on gambling. This info is tied with communication researches showing that gambling advertisement spots increased from 152,000 in 2006 to 1.39 million in 2012. Among other things, researchers and journalists attribute the spike of gambling in the UK to the advent of smartphones and tablets which allow people to play any time of the day without having to use a computer at home. Online Gaming Powerhouse Despite the big numbers, these statistics are not so surprising seeing that UK is for a long time now one of the world's leaders in online casinos and sportsbooks. England is a domain for some of the online gaming world's biggest names the likes of bet365, Betfred, William Hill, Winner and many others. Aside from catering to UK citizens, these sites cater to wider European crowds and even to players from other continents. Responsible Gambling Awareness These numbers naturally bring concerns of gambling problems, which are dealt head-on by gambling operators who advocate responsible gambling in their websites and betting shops, equipping their staff with tools to spot and assist anyone who seems to go over their heads while gambling.
The 27 year old Novak Djokovic has lifted his second Men's Singles Wimbledon trophy yesterday on the main court, after he beat rival Roger Federer in a heart-stopping five-set thriller which lasted for a long three hours and 56 minutes. The match seemed almost over when Federer came back from being down 5-2 in the fourth set, saving a championship point. The final score at the end of five sets was 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 5-7, 6-4. Djokovic's Mental Edge Yesterday's win broke an 18 month drought for Djokovic whose last Grand Slam win was in the Australian Open in January 2013 – this is his seventh Grand Slam title. Djokovic got into a somewhat of a mentally related losing spell, including his lose to Andy Murray in last year's Wimbledon final, and yesterday he managed to finally break it. Had Djokovic lost, he would join the statistic of players like Andy Roddick, Ivan Lendl and Andy Murray who have lost four Grand Slam finals in a row in the open era. Gentlemen's Ending Djokovic was a real gentleman after the match, praising Federer in his words: "Congratulations to Roger, he proved what a great champion he is once again here this year," said Djokovic, carrying on to say jokingly: "I respect your career and everything you've done Roger - thank you for letting me win today!" Federer himself looked deflated after the match. The seven-time Wimbledon winner wanted to win his eighth and to hold the title of being the oldest Wimbledon winner at age 32. "He's a great opponent and I would just like to congratulate Novak on his title," said Federer after the match, adding: "You know going into a match against Novak it's going to be tough, I can only say congratulations."
