Argentina to Unify Online Gambling Regulation

Keeping pace with its larger neighbor to the south, Argentina has drafted it own framework for online gaming. Provincial to Federal The new framework constitutes an updated form of legislation that has been adopted to today's online environment, and replaces a stifling and provincial system that had been lingering in Argentina's legal framework for some time. The proposal was written by Argentina’s Board of the Association of Lotteries and Casinos (ALEA) to provide a federal framework for integrating adapted online legislation into the antiquated provincial legal structure that currently exists in South America's second largest country. Inconsistent Jurisdiction In the current system, gambling regulation is divided rather inconsistently--according to the jurisdiction of wherever the gambling takes place across the 23 provinces or Buenos Aires, leaving a grey area that has resulted in much unregulated gambling. Uniform Federal Regulation Sought ALEA's federal proposal would unify online gambling regulation under one authority within an integrated federal framework for all online games. Benefits ALEA is quoted in statements to local press as seeking to eliminate terrorism financing and money laundering while increasing contributions to community welfare with the new regulation. More Meetings Technical representatives from each of Argentina's provinces were represented at the ALEA meetings, with more discussion for developing the framework to take place in the next 60 days. Online Gambling in Argentina As far as online gaming, Argentina is no stranger. Until November 2012, Bwin.party was one of the largest online gaming operators in the country. However, Bwin's license was terminated by Misiones province, due to what the provincial authority deemed “breach of contract.” In contrast, Bwin claimed the decision to leave was for “purely commercial” reasons. New Market Entrants Whatever the case, integrated federal regulation in Argentina certainly paves the way for an amicable return by Bwin, as well as market entry from other prominent online gambling operators who will no longer have to clash with varying legal interpretations from the different provincial authorities in the country.

Dutch Authority Warns Sports Operators to Toe the Line

Dutch regulators are widening the net around unlicensed regulators. Infringers Still Targeted Before Regulation Despite the effectiveness of letter that the Gaming Authority sent to prevent marketing to Dutch customers, the Dutch Gaming Authority is still targeting lingering infringers who are still out there. Dutch Gaming Authority Kansspelautoriteit has issue a warning to sports betting firms that the government will continue to monitor any illegal marketing activity in the country on the heels of what it calls a “successful” crackdown during the World Cup. Warning Letters The referred to letters were issued in June as warnings to eight online sports books informing those sports books that adversadvertising online gaming to Dutch residents is currently illegal under the Gaming Act. The message was reinforced today. The Kansspelautoriteit explained that it “continues to monitor everything, including the Tour de France.” The authority further warned that violators could face recrimination down the line when they seek licenses in the soon to be regulated state. New Comprehensive Regulation Currently, the only allowable sports betting that can be done is through the Dutch Lotto; a more liberal licensing regime is not far off however, with the market being opened to foreign and local operators by 2015. The Dutch authority specified the course of its further monitoring in an issued statement: “The Gaming Authority expects that all providers own promotional websites - sites of companies in which they provide information about matches and players which can be clicked through to the betting site - be stopped.” Final Figure Settled Upon The Dutch Council of Ministers has been butting heads on the amount of taxation on online gambling profits once regulation takes place, finally settling on a figure of 20% as the tax on profits which enabled regulation implementation proceedings to move forward.

Betway Sports Offers Live In-Play Betting

In the past there was a clear distinction between online sportsbooks and online casinos but the lines between these seem to have blurred in the last few years. It's becoming a standard to see online casinos which offer sports betting options to their players, alongside regular casino attractions. Sports Betting For Everyone   Among other things, the popularity of sports betting derives from the idea that people who enjoy a fun bet could and are looking for ways to spice up their sports watching habits. Sports betting also works to trigger interest in various sports among people who were uninterested in the past. The World Cup betting craze that has just ended is a clear testimony of that.  In-play Betting Another factor which contributes to the popularity of sports betting is the ability to place in-play bets. These bets are the most popular among honed punters because they open doors to interesting betting markets and even more so – to big wins. In-play betting lets people place bets on sporting events as they unfold: this creates a dynamic experience helps in making wiser bets. Of course, pre-match bets are also a thing and they can offer bigger returns on bets. These bets can usually be placed on an outcome of a match, how many points/goals a player would score, etc. Betway Sports Betting Action Betway is a good example for an online casino which incorporates an in-play sports betting platform. Betway's sports betting platform is super-easy to use and it offers players a very wide array of betting markets they can place, going down to the smallest of resolutions. You can check out Betway's live betting action this weekend as it will offer football betting action from the world's national leagues resuming operation, together with tennis bets from the exciting ATP Hamburg.

Leading online gambling operator Winner has launched a brand new section for binary options bets dubbed Winner Option. The section offers a simple platform designed to get players with no background in finance into the world of binary options betting, with 180 assets, high payouts and many trading products and tools. The binary options section joins Winner's many other sections which include a full online casino, a live casino, sports betting, poker, bingo and rummy. Winner's binary options platform provides punters with high transparency and protection, and it is also licensed and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission.  Binary Options Betting While not a new thing in online casinos, financial betting has seen a rise in popularity lately with the binary options trend. One of the biggest drawing factors of binary options betting is its simplicity: Despite sounding like something way more serious, anyone can get on into binary option betting if only equipped with an asset, a prediction and some basic knowledge. Education Center Despite the simplicity factor it's not advisable to jump into binary options without understanding how they work. For that, Winner's new section offers a comprehensive "Education Center" where potential punters new to the scene get access to explanations, guides, FAQs, glossaries and indexes. 180 Assets Once they've gotten into the thick of things, punters at Winner's binary options section get access to a selection of 180 tradable assets which span commodities, currencies, indices and stocks. Winner provides important details for each asset in the list like trading hours, expiry formula and symbols. Among the notable assets found in Winner's site, punters will recognize Amazon, Apple (US), Citigroup, Coca Cola, Google and Teva Pharmaceuticals.

Looking at the Future Ahead of the Mobile & Tablet Gaming Summit USA

The start of US iGaming regulation last November has brought mobile gaming to the forefront. This October, industry leaders, executives and brilliant iGaming minds will convene at The Mobile & Tablet Gambling Summit USA in Atlantic City, where the rise of mobile gaming in the country will be looked at in-depth. In preparation for this summit, one of the main organizers of the summit Bullet Business has published a paper with insights about the US mobile gaming market brought up by questions put before three experts. These are some highlights from their answers. Payment Issues One major issue encountered in the regulated states in the last year had to do with major card issuing banks unwilling to accept mobile payments. According to commissioner of the California Gambling Control Commission Richard Schuetz, these issues are fallout from the 2006 laws. Even though these transactions are now legal in the regulated states, legal counsels for transaction processors are nervous about the idea. Steps taken to solve the problem include educative meetings with banks and payment processors. Marketing Gripes Slowness in the New Jersey mobile market was attributed to misspent marketing. Gaming attorney Alex Igelman claims that this isn't the only reason, as one needs to remember online online gambling is still new in the US – it's going to take time, even more so when full mobile functionality is not available on all sites, so people still use their desktops and laptops for gambling. Future of US Mobile Gaming Social gaming might play a larger role in tomorrow's mobile gaming scene in the US, says Rachel Hirsch, a lawyer who deals with internet legality. The smashing success of Candy Crush Saga is something which could possibly be replicated in mobile gambling – it's not about doing more, it's about doing it smartly Hirsch claims.
