Bet Live on Euro 2016 Qualifiers: Cyprus vs. Israel

One of the best Euro 2016 qualifiers takes place today in the GSP Stadium at Nicosia as Cyprus host Israel for the second round in Group B (7:45pm UK time). Cyprus The GSP Stadium is expected to be full as Cypriots are excited about their team's odds after a large wave of enthusiasm lit up by the sensational victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina last month. It was a dramatic game in which Cyprus' Dimitris Christofi scored twice after Vedad Ibisevic scored the opener for Bosnia-Herzegovina. Beating a team that participated in the World Cup this summer, Cyprus' self-confidence grew, and the players believe they can pull off another three points today at home against Israel. However this could be a little harder to do with the possible injuries of midfielder Georgios Efrem who is vital to the team, as well as that of Efstathios Aloneftis who could be sidelined. Israel Due to a political crisis in the summer, Israel's opener against Belgium which was scheduled for early last month was postponed, so the team has a clean slate today to start against Cyprus. In its history of matches against Cyprus, Israel holds the better statistics with 9 wins, 3 draws and 2 loses. Today Israel will be without its captain Yossi Benayoun, being led instead by defender Tal Ben-Haim who plays in Charlton Athletic's starting 11. Ben-Haim will also have to support goalie Ofir Martziano who makes his international debut today. Bet Live Online sportsbook Winner Sports is giving full coverage to all Euro 2016 qualifiers taking place this weekend as well as this match with in-play and pre-match markets. In full time result Winner offers 49/20 on Cyprus, 11/10 on Israel and 9/4 for a draw. Sign-in Winner tonight and spice up your football experience with a wager on this fixture.

German State Cracks Down on Unlicensed Gambling Sites

German laws on online gambling effectively ban any operator not controlled by the state. The laws are in something of a legal minefield at the moment, with several appeals and disputes on-going, but the state of Lower Saxony is now discussing ways to block local banks from processing any payments to, and withdrawals from, un-licensed online wagering sites. Current Legal Status Under the Interstate Treaty on Gambling that came into force in 2008, almost all online gambling is illegal across Germany, which is allegedly designed to protect German citizens from rouge operators, but it has been argued that it unfairly favours state controlled gambling providers. German legislators are looking to force banks to ban online gambling transactions. This would appear to be in contradiction of European Union laws, and the EU, as well as a number of online gambling operators, have taken legal steps to clarify, or overturn the current situation. In 2012, it was announced that twenty gambling licenses would be granted to chosen operators, but despite over 100 applications, there appears to be a state of limbo, with none granted to date, and a court suspending all progress subject to a legal challenge. Certain states have granted Poker licenses, which are due to be reviewed in 2018, and between now and then, they will not be threatened by the proposed restrictions. Gambling and German Banks Lower Saxony is heading the moves to ban unlicensed transactions, by sending cease and desist letters to several online wagering operators. A German Banking Association spokeswoman has said that ''German banking supervisory regulations foresee certain obligations of banks to support state control of gambling activities.'' This means that the banks are likely to co-operate with Lower Saxony and other states to restrict the flow of money to and from these sites, as legally, they are required to operate within the laws of their local states.
