Live Betting Premier League Darts: Taylor and Lewis Face-Off

The Premier League of Darts continues on tonight with a key match between 16-time world champion, Phil Taylor taking on his protégé Adrian Lewis. This match is very important as the battle for a playoff spot is getting more intense with every day.  Lewis is still chasing a spot in the 2015 Playoffs but if he can hold off Taylor tonight, he is guaranteed a coveted spot in the top four. It will not be an easy task as Taylor won their last meeting in Bournemouth last February 7-2. Tonight in Cardiff, Lewis will be more focused and knows that he must win. Taylor almost lost his last match against Stephen 'the bullet' Bunting, up 5-2 early on, but wasted a number of darts and needed a crazy finish in order to seal the deal. Lewis played an excellent game against 'The Bullet' in their last meeting, throwing a 50 percent success rate on his doubles and beat Bunting 7-2. Lewis learned a lot from Taylor over the years and tonight will be the ultimate test of whether or not the student becomes the teacher. Top Earners Both players are having excellent year and are in the top four for earnings. Phil Taylor has managed to make £596,900, while Adrian Lewis is at £430,150. Neither player is close to making the £1,019,350 that Michael van Gerwan has made, but that could change with a championship this year. Live Online Gambling The Premier League of Darts is one of the highest betting sports in the UK. Punters flock to online bookmakers like bet365 Sports for the odds available and live coverage that the famed UK sportsbook offers. The odds are in favor of Phil Taylor at 2.05 but Lewis is not far behind at 2.62. There are pre-match options for Leg Score, Most 180's, 9 Dart Finish in Match and much more. Bet365 is also offering live in play betting and live coverage of the Match from Cardiff and live betting is an excellent way to watch and bet interactively.

New Jersey Posts Record Revenue in March 2015

Legalised online gambling in New Jersey has performed far below expectations since the industry first opened for business in November 2013. Pre-legalisation forecasting suggested that it would not take long for the industry to be worth a billion dollars, but that has not been the case. Quite simply, operators have struggled greatly in New Jersey’s legal online gambling industry. However, there was recent growth in March. After comparing financial results between March 2014 and March 2015, it was evident that revenue increased by 10.8% on the previous year. The March 2015 gambling revenue of $13.2 million was also notable because it marked a record-breaking return for the industry. From the $13.2 million generated last month, online casino games accounted for an $11 million share, which was a 26.2% increase on 2014. Comparatively, the $2.2 million generated by online poker marked a 30.6% decline since last year. Online casino games are succeeding while poker is currently in a downturn. Borgata the Best Performer Borgata was one of the strongest performing online gambling operators in March, earning $4.2 million worth of revenue from a stable of brands that included Borgata Casino, Borgata Poker, Party Poker, and Pala Casino. Golden Nugget was another operator that performed well, earning $3 million in conjunction with its partner Betfair. Tropicana is another New Jersey operator that is aligned with an international partner. The land-based casino managed to earn $3 million with Virgin Casino. Caesars is an operator that has been struggling in the wider gambling industry for some time now. However, Caesars managed to earn $2.8 million from 888 and WSOP.com. Land-based casinos in Atlantic City earned $190 million in March, but that was a loss of 13.9% on the $221 million from March 2014. A number of casinos have closed since then, including the likes of the Atlantic Club and the Trump.

Today: Apple Watch Launch Gears Up for Online Gambling

The hype machine is working extra shifts as the anticipated Apple Watch officially launches today. It is a bit of a weird launch, because the smartwatch will not be actually available for pick up at stores: What happens is that pre-orders of those who managed to snatch a device begin shipping today. In a memo sent to Apple Stores, Apple's Retail Chief Angela Ahrendts estimated that the situation will continue through the month of May. This means that, with a lot of luck, you will be available to snatch one in a walk in purchase in June – maybe. It'll take time until all models of the Apple Watch will be fully available both on shelves and in online stores. Gambling Apps Already Available What's clear is that once the initial launch ruckus settles down, online gambling will have a whole new field in which to engage. Playing slots or blackjack from your wrist is something that would sound fantastic a few years ago, but as wearable tech came into play the fantasy became a reality. So much, in fact, that there are already online gambling apps lined up and ready for the Apple Watch. Online gambling giants Ladbrokes Australia and William Hill Sports have already announced that they will have apps ready for wrist betting on the launch day of the Apple Watch. Ready for Online Gambling Functionality-wise, the Apple Watch is fully ready for online gambling options. Both the 38mm and 42mm versions can provide hours of wrist fun with games such as slots and blackjack; as we have seen, online sports betting is already in. It's only a matter of time before the other big operators jump on the Apple Watch ship, and it's likely that we'll see an expansion to other smartwatch devices not limited to Apple's. If this ship sets serious sail, we could be seeing groovy things. The imagination can run wild with features such as on-wrist live dealers, single-tap deposits and withdrawals, entire on-wrist online casinos and more.

Founder of Real Gaming Calls For Collaborative Approach

The GiGse conference on iGaming is taking place at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco. One of the key issues facing U.S. online wagering companies is the future of legislation and the direction the industry is taking. Real Gaming founder Lawrence Vaughn is to call for a more collaborative approach to help iGaming operators reach their goals in the important U.S. market. The Importance of Quality Although Morgan Stanley have recently predicted that the U.S. online gambling market will be worth some $2.7 billion within 5 years, Vaughn has emphasised that the quality of the services being offered should be a higher priority than overall revenues. He believes that many people are underestimating the difficulties associated with starting an iGaming business, and are expecting to simply launch a site and wait for the cash to come in. The reality is somewhat different, and Vaughn will be at GiGse promoting his idea that the industry should be working more closely together to push for changes to legislation in the U.S. that will bring growth. ''Building internet companies is not that simple'' said Vaughn, adding that ''There needs to be more focus and dedication to bringing together all the operators and regulators in order to pass the legislation needed for this new industry to flourish.'' About Lawrence Vaughn Vaughn speaks with a unique authority, having been the youngest person to gain an interactive gaming license in Nevada aged just 27. In 2014, his Real Gaming company, in partnership with the South Point Hotel and Casino became the third online gambling operation in the state. A native of Las Vegas, Vaughn recognised that gambling was going to move online in a big way and ensured that his company was at the leading edge. Looking forward to GiGse, he said ''This is a very new space and a lot of new territory I being explored. Hopefully we can shed some light on what we've experienced so far.''

Bundesliga Betting: Desperate Schalke Takes on Mainz

The 30th gameweek of the German Bundesliga kicks off today with a meeting between Schalke and FSV Mainz 05 at the Coface Arena (19:30 UK time). Both teams have had and are still going through rough patches lately and this will be a good chance for both to turn things around. Mainz Mainz is currently positioned 11th in the Bundesliga table, sitting on 34 points composed of 7 wins, 13 draws and 9 losses with a negative GD of -1. The team managed to go out with a draw against the second positioned Wolfsburg last month, proceeding to a goalless draw against Werder Bremen and a homely 2-3 loss against Bayer Leverkusen. A sigh of relief came last Saturday with a 2-3 away win over Sport-Club Freiburg. Will they keep this up against the struggling Schalke today? Look for Shinji Okazaki in goalscorer bets – the prolific striker has netted 12 goals in the season so far. Schalke Despite the impressive fifth position at the upper part of the Bundesliga table, Schalke has found itself in a slump. The team hasn't managed to win a match in five games, losing to Bayer Leverkusen and ending with a 1-1 draw against Wolfsburg last Sunday. They have 42 points (11w, 9d, 9l). Will Schalke end the drought today? The team is certainly able to do so, as it has shown until the rough patch began: Many are still talking and will keep on talking about the great 3-4 away victory Schalke secured against Real Madrid in the Champions League round of 16 last month. If it wants to count for Champions League spots, Schalke must step up its game today. Live Betting Today's game will be live at Winner Sports with a wide range of in-play and pre-match betting markets. Full time result odds favored Schalke for a win with 39/20, opposed to 7/5 for Mainz. Tune-in Winner this Friday night to experience this intriguing German faceoff.

Australia Looks Into Tax for Online Operators

Following the footsteps of the UK, the state of South Australia is planning to put into place a Point of Consumption Tax (POCT) which will apply to interstate online betting operators that cater to South Australians. Over 70,000 Online Bettors The South Australia Treasury has estimated that some 74,000 South Australians maintain online gambling accounts with different operators who are not subject to any tax, only an annual $1,500 fee that grants their operation in SA. SA treasurer Tom Koutsantonis told Australian newspaper The Advertiser: "It is important that online gambling operators pay taxes considering that they are generating profits based on betting activity of South Australians." $47m in Yearly Revenues The treasury estimates that the new POCT will bring the state a take of around $47 million per year. This sum will join some $390 million that the state collects from gambling companies that employ and cater to South Australians. The hope is that besides for the added revenue for the state, POCT will help to put more balance in the competition between land based and online gambling operators. Tighter Grip on Online Operators Online operators are required to give the SA treasury a report on their business within the state, however, currently this information is self-reported. This is prone to change: SA treasury is looking into models that will establish a serious processes of auditing and compliance, perhaps one that mirrors the activity of the UK Gambling Commission. National Spread? Treasurer Koutsantonis said that his department will report back to the other states mid this year on their work to discuss how the suggested model could work on a national scale. While it's still early to estimate how this will impact online gambling in Australia as a whole, POCT has the obvious drawback of hitting operators in the pocket, but in the grand scale the UK model shows that proper regulation works for the benefit of all sides involved.
