Bayern and Dortmund Meet Again in the DFB Pokal Final

Bayern won another trophy in Germany, something that was expected from them, but otherwise the season was pretty disappointing. Winning the Bundesliga is today just a pale consolation for failing to reach the final stage of the Champions League. They can still salvage the season by winning the DFB Pokal against their bitter rivals from Dortmund. A Departure Gift from Pep Guardiola The talented Spanish manager did a fine job with Bayern, but his performance in Germany is a far cry from his achievements with Barcelona. The fans have very little to blame him for as he turned the new team into the best German squad, before he leaves for Manchester City. There is still one more thing that he can do for the fans and this is to hand them the DFB Pokal on a silver platter. The German first division ended last week, so there was plenty of team for the players to rest ahead of this decisive match. The game will be played on a neutral venue, which benefits Bayern more than Dortmund, as they won more matches on the road this season. Everything on the Line for Dortmund If Bayern fans are disgruntled by the Champions League performance, their counterparts in Dortmund are surely furious. They find no consolation in being the runners-up in the Bundesliga and their untimely elimination from Europa League was disheartening. They are hoping for another narrow victory over their archrivals like the one secured last year, but it’s unlikely to get it. Bayern will very likely win another trophy, an outcome priced by bet365 Sports at 11/10, as they won’t take any chances and try to win the match in regular time. Betting on more than 2.5 goals is also an option, but one less exciting than picking the outright winner and these great odds.

Barcelona Tries to Mount a Successful Defense of Copa Del Rey

Sevilla did it again and won the Europa League for the third time in four years and now has just one more important match to play. Liverpool was a tough opponent, but the one they will taking on over the weekend is from an entirely different league. Barcelona has won the domestic championship once again but failed to reach the Champions League final and is in a dire need for the Copa del Rey trophy. Rare Victories on the Road Sevilla is the only Spanish team that finished the regular season without winning a single match on the road. They were not too effective in cup games either but somehow found a way to win those decisive matches and the recent Europa League victory is the perfect example. Now they will take on Barcelona in Madrid and they can expect to have more local fans on their side. This is unfortunately the only advantage that Sevilla has in this match, with Barcelona being the better side on all levels. The last time the two teams met the reigning champions won, avenging the first leg defeat but on both occasions it was Sevilla who scored first. Interesting enough, in the last 10 games, both teams scored at least once so there is a high probability for many goals to be scored on Sunday as well. Only Three Days to Recuperate Sevilla has won the Europa League on Wednesday evening and the players celebrated that victory in Basel before returning home. They only had three days to regain their strength, before playing an even more difficult match against Barcelona. By comparison, their opponents are well rested, have no players missing due to injuries or suspension, so they can field the best starting formation. Everything suggests a comfortable victory for Barcelona but risk-averse punters can settle for even odds offered by bet365 Sports on the champions to win by two goals or more.

Poland Contemplates Changing of Gambling Laws

The Polish gambling legislation has remained largely unchanged since 2009 when the Gambling Act was passed. The restrictive laws prevented both local and international gambling operators from reaching their full potential within national borders. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin, has proposed a couple of changes to the aforesaid Gambling Act. If they get support in the Polish Parliament and are adopted, the Polish betting market should be better regulated. More Delays for the New Polish Gambling Act Gambling operators and players alike were looking forward to see the new proposals for the Polish Gambling Act, announced earlier this year by Paweł Szałamacha. These were delayed several times and that is what prompted Jarosław Gowin to take action and make a couple of proposals of his own. The new law needs the support of the governing party, but if it passes, betting and poker will be excluded from the Gambling Law. At the time of writing, poker can only be played in licensed brick-and-mortar casinos, while games played in private houses are strictly forbidden. Those who are caught playing risk hefty fines and even imprisonment, something that the Deputy Prime Minister wants to change. Major Changes in Betting Taxes The proposed gaming tax would consist of a 20% levy on betting revenue, rather than the 12% turnover tax that is currently in effect. 10% of the revenue generated will be divided between the Polish Olympic Committee which would get 7% and organizations fighting gambling addiction who would claim the remaining 3%. Sports teams in Poland would also benefit from this measure, as they are expected to earn an additional €25 million. Only sports betting operators that hold a valid Polish license will be allowed to cater for local players, while the rest would have their payments and IP blocked.

April Marks New Gambling Revenue Record For New Jersey

Even with few states legalizing online gambling, the United States market seems to be booming. This year has produced growth beyond any analyst's predictions with month-to-month growth coming in at 29.3 percent with a peak being hit this April. While the Whole Market is Growing Some States are Booming Within the US some states have managed to outperform the country's growth with New Jersey registering huge revenue culminating in an April high of $17 million. This is nearly 34% up from April of 2015 when revenue came in at $12.7 million. April’s results came when just a month earlier the state had its first year on record when revenue surpassed the $15 million marker. According to the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, the significant monthly win registered this April was divided between a growth in online poker revenue which grew from $2 million in April 2015 to $2.6 million and online casino growth which in turn grew from $10.7 million in 2015 to $14.4 million. The revenue was mainly split between the five major online casinos operating in the state. The Borgata had the biggest revenue this month with approximately $4 million, the Resorts followed with $3.5 million in revenue, the Golden Nugget registered $3.3 million in  revenue, Caesars Interactive NJ registered $3.2 million in revenue and while Tropicana had $3.1 million in revenue. Growth Isn't Really a Surprise The significant growth is down to a number of reasons; one of the most important is that the entire gambling market has yet to reach its full potential in the United States, with yearly growth being the norm for quite some time to come. Other elements that influenced growth in the first trimester of 2016 is the cold season, which makes gambling form home a better option as well as the first full month PokerStars was in full action in the state. This month’s revenue increase in New Jersey is just the beginning as online gambling is just starting become part of the conversation in the United States. The market is far from its full potential and with increased popularity, more special events and the opening of more and more big gambling brands the growth pattern should continue for quite some time.

He has reached the quarter-final of the French Open in the past on two occasions, but to face Wawrinka on opening day is a draw he would surely like not to be his. Bet365 oddstracker: Rosol 9.00 Wawrinka 1.071 The second highlight of the day will be between Canadian Milos Raonic vs Janko Tipsarevic. Raonic should have no problem putting the Czech down, as the 686 seeded player has been humbled by injuries and is playing in his first French Open since 2012. Bet365 oddstracker: Raonic 1.020 Tipsarevic 19.00 The biggest match of day one will undoubtedly be between the experienced Radek Stepanek and world number 2, Andy Murray. These two have met eight times in the past with Murray winning 6-2. The past really doesn’t mean much though, as Murray is playing some of the best tennis of his life winning the Rome Open and just missing out on the title in Madrid.
