December Deadline for Bodog USA Patrons

In what appears to be a stunning revelation to online casino players in the USA, Bodog online entertainment announced that as from December the 31st 2011, US-based players will no longer be able to play at any of its branded casinos. The decision comes on the heels of recent initiatives by the FBI and the US justice authorities to clamp down on unlicensed gaming operators plying their trade in US cyberspace. As a result of the recent announcements, BodogBrand.com has moved its operations offshore in an effort to refocus and develop foreign market potential. New UK Gambling License The Bodog UK licensee has now been granted remote/non-remote licenses by the UK Gambling Commission. This will afford them the best opportunities to attract top-tier talent in the industry. The goal is to develop the UK and Asian markets more extensively. This means that come December 31st, US-based players will no longer have access to Bodog.eu and all other Bodog brands. US Player Interests The Morris Mohawk Gaming Group is set to re-launch in 2012. It will be licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. Until that time, all US-player funds are 100% safe and secure. US players will have the option to switch to a new Morris Mohawk Gaming group, should they desire. This is perceived to be the catalyst in boosting Bodog's gaming interests in its chosen markets.

Betfair Enters the German Football Market

Online betting giant, Betfair Sports has taken a big step forward in the German sports betting market by becoming the official sponsor of Türkiyemspor Berlin. This news comes hot on the heels of the decision by German lawmakers - with Belfair's insistence - to overturn the 'incompatible and unconstitutional' law prohibiting the Betfair and other bookmakers from providing sponsorship to football teams. The State Treaty on Gaming According to laws in Germany aka the State Treaty on Gaming, the sponsorship of sports teams is proscribed. Luckily this piece of legislation was deemed incompatible with European law. This means that Betfair has officially entered the realm to provide Türkiyemspor Berlin with sponsorship. This will be taking place in the coming season, for the period of one year, and the company's logo will be prominently displayed on the front of the club's footy shirts. The sponsorship deal is available for renewal and German players and sports bettors punting at Betfair will be well pleased with the increased presence of this betting giant in the real-life sports world. Türkiyemspor Berlin is particularly chuffed with the agreement. This means that they're backed by a winner and their fortunes have quite literally changed overnight. About Türkiyemspor Berlin This dynamic German football team was founded in 1978. It is a multi-cultural football sports club and it works hard to reflect the interests of Germany's immigrant communities, specifically within the Turkish community. With diversity and unity of purpose coming together in a highly capable football team, Betfair has not only managed to unite the immigrant community under the football banner, but it's bringing fanfare to this team with the new sponsorship deal. This exciting 'immigrant unifying' footy club currently plays its games in the Regionalliga Nord, which is the 4 th tier of the German Football League System. Betfair's regional manager - Peter Reinhardt, is well pleased with the role that Türkiyemspor has played in fostering tolerance, competition and unity in the world of German football. More importantly, it's a sports club first and foremost and a football club second. A Victory for Betfair and for Germany In spite of official German opposition to the proposed new draft law on gambling, the EC and Malta have issued convincing evidence to substantiate the overturning of German law on gambling sponsorships. The State Treaty on Gaming is giving way to sponsorship and good times ahead.

Mahjong and Poker: The Face-Off

London is set to host one of the most exciting events in recent times. Poker players from across the UK and beyond are raring to go with the 5th Annual Poker in the Park. This series of contests will see two giant poker domes being set up for players to game at. But the hidden treasure lies not in poker, but in Mahjong. Mahjong is an ancient Chinese skill-based game. Not dissimilar to poker which requires significant card, people and mathematical skills to succeed at, Mahjong is equally skill based. The 5th Annual Poker in the Park festival will reveal 2 domes - one for Mahjong and one for Poker. The former will be showcased in Hanover (across from Oxford Circus) on the 2nd/3rd of September 2011. The folks in London are hoping that this contest will set a record for the biggest Mahjong tourney outside of China. Organizers of this exciting challenge are hoping to reel in as many Chinese Mahjong players as possible. That, together with the massive interest in poker gaming, promises to set the stage for an exciting skill-based games showdown. More about Mahjong Mahjong gaming goes way back to the times of Confucius in around 500 B.C. The game is quite similar to other western-style games like Rummy. In Mahjong, players are obligated to form sets of tiles in order to score points. Some folks are of the opinion that this exciting game was actually based on another card game named Mǎdiào. If that is correct, it means that Mahjong goes back to the times of the Ming Dynasty.

More About Casino Coins Shutdown

Visit Casino coins and their affiliate program and you will see this note: Casino Coins will be closing on august 1 with any final payments being sent to Affiliates by August 15th. We would like to thank everyone for their support over the years. Although a very clear, kind and straightforward note, we raised some concern on this site when our emails were not answered. Shutdown It is unusual for a casino brand to close along with its affiliate program. Oftentimes, the player base and other elements make it easier to sell the brand, rather than shut it down entirely. In either case, it begs the question who does the affiliate program answer to when it shuts down, and what force in the world can make it answer at all. Initial Concerns At first, when our emails went unanswered, we were worried no answer was coming. The article, along with posts on some respectable forums online, seem to have gotten Casino Coins' attention and sure enough an answer appeared in our inbox. Careful Optimism Nick from Casino Coins wrote back and explained his absence. As for a change in our owed earnings, Casino Coins had a fair reply. As notice of their closure was sent to players and affiliates, all have shown interest and some (players) have come back to play. The reply email, along with the note on their site, and pretty much wall to wall agreement on forums has us believing and hoping that this brand will pay out its final payment on August 15.
