In the week leading up to 8th December, there were several major prizes won, with one of the famous Marvel Jackpots scooped by a Winner member. Double Rollover For The UK Lotto

Running for 20 years, the UK Lotto has created over 2,300 millionaires so far, and thanks to online services like the Lotter and Lottery Master, people from around the world can now enter without needing to even leave home. The Lotto has now rolled over two times, so the next draw which will take place on Wednesday 10th December will carry a major jackpot of around £7.7 million. Playing the UK Lotto Lotto tickets are priced at £2 each, for which players get entry to the main draw and automatic entry to the raffle draw, which guarantees a £20,000 payout to 50 winners. It's just a matter of selecting 6 numbers out of a possible 49, with up to 7 lines of numbers per ticket possible. When the draw is made, 6 main numbers and a Bonus Ball will be randomly selected. The jackpot is paid out to anyone matching all 6 main numbers, with the prize split should more than one person have the winning combination. Matching 5 numbers and the Bonus Ball equals a second prize payout, which is usually around the £50,000 mark, while lesser prizes include around £10 for matching 3 main numbers, which each line has a 1 in 57 chance of hitting. This is one of the few lotteries in the world where the winnings are not taxed at all. If a player wins an indicated £10,000,000, then that is the amount paid into their bank account. Playing Lotto Online While historically tickets could only be purchased from UK shops or the official site by British residents, services like the Lotter and Lottery Master have opened the games up to a worldwide audience. Tickets for this and most other major draws can be bought online, with networks of local agents actually purchasing the tickets on users behalf. Then, should a ticket win a prize, the funds are transferred to the players nominated bank accounts, while it is possible for major prize winning tickets to be sent directly to the lucky player for them to claim.

Swedish Government Collapse Delays Regulation

Re-regulation of gaming has hit what could be called a snag: the collapse of the government. Reconstruction The dust will clear in March 2015, when Sweden's Social Democrat prime minister Stefan Löfven has called for a snap general election. The current government fell through after Lofven's failure to secure approval for the budget, a scant two months after assuming office. Regulation Issues The new regulation was anticipated in light of the primary iGaming issue in Sweden revolving around Swedish government attempts at prevention of competition with monopoly gaming provider Svenska Svel from offshore online operators. Sweden is currently at a regulation crossroads, where benefits need to be established in order to move forward with more equitable legislation. Currently, the long-standing monopoly of Svenska Svel is a bone of contention for the gambling industry and the European Commission, which wants Sweden to open its market to operators from the private sector. Sweden's government is traditionally resistant to change, but could benefit from regulation with a potential tax revenues of SEK 1.68 billion by 2016. It could also allow other Swedish industries to benefit, such as advertisers and the media, providing a needed boost to the economy. The quality of games and the options for Swedish customers would also increase. Gambling Government Official The situation is rather awkward for one government official, Jimmie Åkesson, the 35-year-old leader of the Sweden Democrats, an avid gambler who was not only shown a propensity for losing large sums of money—but doing so at sites licensed offshore in Malta, outside of the domestic market he is entrusted with protecting. More Time Needed There is some time to bandy about all the issues, and settle all the controversies, hopefully in time for the new vote, an opportunity for the Swedish government to come clean and align itself with the regulation movement spreading across Europe.

Santa’s Gift Grab Underway at Royal Vegas

As it currently stands, the Royal Vegas progressive jackpot total has surpassed the €5.1 million mark. And the ever-increasing total can be attributed to an upsurge in activity that has been prompted by the Santa’s Gift Grab event. At present, all major online casinos are rewarding their players with special deals and offers as a thank you to mark the festive season. €140k Prize Collection Having started on Monday 1 December, Royal Vegas Casino will host the event for a total of 40 days, letting it run into January. And when you add up the value of the event, this works out as €140,000 worth of offers for participating players to target. As for what is up for grabs, Royal Vegas has assigned a broad selection of prizes to win during each day of the Santa’s Gift Grab event. Throughout the duration, players can try to claim free spins, reward points, credits, reward multipliers up to 5x, cashback, and other prizes. All in all, Royal Vegas is offering quite a lot. A common trait of special casino events is that the prizes contain some minor terms and conditions. In this instance, Royal Vegas will give players 24 hours to use their gift for the day. Any gifts not used within those 24 hours will be claimed back by Royal Vegas. Obviously, though, it won’t be long for a new deal to emerge. Progressive Jackpot Games The increased activity surrounding Royal Vegas will likely mean that the progressive jackpot total may soon approach the €6 million mark. The increased circulation of free spins and other prizes has helped see to that. In terms of the progressive jackpots, Royal Vegas has a range of slots and table games for players to access. For starters, Mega Moolah and Major Millions are two well-known options, while the table games include Roulette Royale and Caribbean Draw Poker.

Champions League Action: AS Roma and Manchester City Fight for Qualification

Rome's Stadio Olimpico is the venue for today's "winner takes it all" UEFA Champions League match between home team AS Roma and guests Manchester City (7:45pm UK time). Both teams are vying for a second place in Group E to make it to the next stage in the Champions League. AS Roma AS Roma has scored in every single game at all competitions this season when playing at home. The team's group game against CSKA Moscow saw the Yellow-Reds winning 5 to 1. Like Manchester City and CKSA Moscow, Roma is with 5 points with a goal difference of -4 (8 for, 12 against). Three points tonight could guarantee Roma's ascension to the next stage, though they could make with a draw if the game between Bayern Munich and CSKA Moscow ends a draw. Roma is doing well in Serie A, sticking close to Juventus at the top in the second position. Manchester City City is in a tougher position and not only due to being the guest at the Roman fortress. Qualification to the next stage relies on their performance and how Moscow does against Bayern: The Citizens could qualify with a win and provided Moscow doesn't beat Bayern; in case of a draw against Roma, City will need CSKA to lose. Beating Roma at home will be difficult also given the fact City never won on Italian soil. The reverse game between the two in the Etihad Stadium was a 1-1 draw and today City will miss prolific scorer Sergio Aguero who's out due to injury, having to rely on Edin Dzeko. Bet Live Winner Sports will be giving full coverage to today's Champions League fixtures including this intriguing match. In full time result odds, Winner had 29/20 on Roma, 19/10 on City and 12/5 for a draw. Don't miss out on this thriller tonight and log-in Winner Sports for a full range of betting markets.

Here Comes Mexico: Online Gambling Imminent

Mexico is on the verge of opening its online gambling market. Gambling Bill Approved This announcement comes down as the result of the approval of a gambling bill introduced to the national government legislature. The plausibility of a Mexican online gambling market has taken shape in previous weeks as result of an agreement between the National Action Party (PAN) and the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD). This vote represents the first concrete step in the full passage of online regulation. The Chamber of Deputies' 297-32 approval vote now sends the gambling bill to the Mexican Senate for approval. The regulation model for the bill, entitled Ley Federal de Juegos con Apuesta y Sorteos, would turn the Mexican online gaming market into single-nation entity serviced by a limited number of providers, with more transparent regulation of existing land-based gambling. However, the regulation does not permit Mexico to participate in a any international player pools. Transparency and Awareness of Gambling Activity PAN Deputy Jose Arturo Salinas Garza lauded the transparency of the regulation model: "With this law now all Mexicans can know how many casinos are in Mexico, which permits have been granted, which are operational, who the owners are and who the partners are." New Front on the Battle Against Corruption To this point, Mexico has been reluctant to allow online gambling due to the general weakness of the government, which invests most of its resources in the battle against the corruption, violence, and trafficking of established drug cartels. However, the cartels and other criminal organizations have indirectly benefited from this approach anyway, through establishing unregulated casinos and underground gambling locations across the country. Increasing protections against money laundering and establishing a minimum gambling age of 21 are measures that make the new regulation more friendly to government voters. Major Operators Poised The Mexican government and citizenry stand to reap the benefits of regulated online gambling immediately: major operators such as Winner casino are reportedly ready to step in as soon as regulation is approved.

How the Web is Transforming the Online Lottery Industry

It’s no secret that lottery is a big industry - last year, global lottery sales hit $275 billion.  The bigger national lotteries like Powerball and Euromillions regularly roll over into tens of millions, and everyone is keen to have part of the multi-millionaire dream for just a few dollars. While for many decades, lottery was about retailers selling tickets and scratch cards at convenience stores and gas stations, the web has been transforming all this quietly and we are now increasingly buying our Euromillions tickets online. 2014 saw the boom of the online lottery market, just the results from the first quarter of the year was at a record high that has been growing at a stunning rate. From the consumer point of view, the advantages are obvious –you can buy a ticket whenever you want, wherever you are. On holiday in Ibiza? You can still buy a Powerball ticket as long as you have an internet connection. And gone too are the days of the lost lottery ticket. The digitalization means that nothing is ever lost, and your million dollar dream will not get destroyed by a washing machine. Unsaturated Market From a business perspective, the online lottery market has seen lots of growth but it is still relatively unsaturated. Usually running on an affiliate model, there has been a surge in sites selling lottery tickets online.  And tapping into this booming market, online lottery technologists Kootac and Lottonetix have announced that they will be joining forces to expand their position in the market.  This merger has been greeted positively with the big operators in the iGaming industry, and deals with the key players in Forex, Sports, and Casino are underway. Both burgeoning key players in this young market, Kootac and Lottonetix have managed to establish considerable names for themselves. Lottonetix is a player in the UK market and has done an impressive job at growing UK lottery syndicates in the last three years. Shai Ben Ami, CEO of Lottonetix, said that there has been a huge surge in the interest of online lotteries, and that this partnership with Kootac will create many more business opportunities. There is a trend in online gambling affiliates buying lottery whitelabel products, which can also be thought of a generic, out-of-the-box solution, for a quick and pain-free launch into the new market of online lottery sales. Whitelabel products come with everything in the box – payment processing, license, administrative tools – in short, the complete platform to get up and running. All that is left for the affiliate or investor to do is the branding and marketing to procure customers to their product. Lottonetix and Kootac’s whitelabel product should seriously interest gaming operators and affiliates. Their platform boasts the shortest lead in the industry – you can be up and running in 10 days flat – and 12 languages out of the box. The platform is fully licensed, comes with payment solutions, insurance and customer support. This is a true turn-key solution that will appeal to many affiliate partners who are looking for a simple yet robust solution.

Trading Binary Options with Licensed Brokers

The past few years have seen a surge in the popularity of financial betting. Much of that increase can be attributed to binary options which allow simple trading opportunities for people who don't have to be economically savvy. What Are Binary Options? Binary options are short-term investments with which traders predict the price fluctuation of an asset: whether it will rise or fall during a predetermined timeframe. The common types of binary options include currency pairs, commodities, indices and stocks. Binary options are traded with full transparency and require very little of the trader. There's clarity in regards to return rates and risk ratios, so armed with an asset and a prediction, anyone can opt-in for a trade. However it is advised to obtain general knowledge of the market and how it works beforehand. Licensed Brokers Binary options are accessed via online brokers who specialize in the field. Given the nature of binary options, regulation is of utmost importance. There are certified regulatory bodies which audit and monitor binary options brokers to prevent fraud and ensure the governance of safe code of conduct. Brokers are required to own a license and comply with the terms and conditions of the regulatory bodies. OptionsClick OptionsClick serves as an example for a licensed broker. Earlier this summer, OptionsClick received a license from the Cypriot Securities Exchange Commission (CySEC), a prime financial regulatory agency with which many brokers register. CySEC licensees are recognized by EU: This assures traders with OptionsClick both safety and access to a wide market with all EU member states. OptionsClick complies with guidelines set by EU law and the different financial instruments. OptionsClick's platform is designed with both new and experienced traders alike, and with the right regulation in place it is considered a high quality recommended binary options broker.

Thursday Night Football - NFC West Showdown

The Arizona Cardinals travel to St. Louis tonight to take on the struggling Rams in an NFC West showdown to begin Week 15. The Cardinals are 10-3 and leading the division, while the Rams are down but not out at 6-7 but coming off of a huge victory against the Redskins last week 24-0.  This will be the second meeting between these two teams this season, Arizona won that game 31-10 but it is now a completely different story. The Rams defense is currently looking like the best in the entire league shutting out their opponents 76-0 in the last two games. The Rams' defense has been so good in their last three wins they have outscored opponents by a total of 98-7, and lest we forget that one of those wins included whooping the Denver Broncos 22-7. St. Louis' defense was so good last week that they held Redskins QB, McCoy, to a 54.0 rating. The Rams were beating the Cardinals 14-10 going into the fourth quarter but three turnovers by the Rams' offense gave Arizona the advantage to steal the win. Austin Davis has been getting better at the QB position so those past turnovers shouldn't come back this time around. The Cardinals have won, one game out of their last three and are not looking like they are the same team without Carson Palmer calling the shots. The Seahawks are nipping at their heels for first place in the division and it is tough to say if they will hold on after tonight. bet365 Sports Online - NFL Betting Lines Even with their first place position, the Cardinals are the underdogs tonight at 2.85, while the home team, red-hot Rams are at 1.44. It should be a great game no matter what the end result but punters can place bets on the final outcome, point spread, over/under, 3-way match result and a number of markets according to quarter, half and ever team. Don't miss out on the Week 15 kick-off game live at 1:25am tonight.
